For those of you that aren't familiar with the history of the ConnorWatch Community, what we have today started as a response to a phone call that took place on the morning of June 16th, 2008. Connor Williamson, son of Eric and Cherié Williamson of Morgan Hill, California, had been injured while swimming at Lake Hume, California and was transferred by helicopter to Fresno where he would literally fight for his life, and start the road to recovery.

By the next morning, we realized we needed a way to communicate quickly and broadly to a number of relatives and family members, and so the ConnorWatch blog was created. In a matter of weeks, we saw that a blog did not begin to address the range of communication and coordination that was necessary as friends, family, neighbors, and church communities came together to support Connor and the Williamson family. So the ConnorWatch blog morphed into ConnorWatch, a website that allowed us to connect willing people with the prayer and resource needs that were emerging every day.

As this community of friends and supporters grew, numbering over 700 registered users as of February, 2009, we were becoming aware that the community of people that rallied around Connor had become much more than the sum of our parts.

Today, as the ConnorWatch Community matures and takes its place in the world, we have catalogued here the posts and photos from those early tumultuous days of ConnorWatch, because as part of our history, these Archives help explain who and why we are.
