Day 185 - December 16 - Server Outage

December 16th has been a rough day for the site. Intermittent problems plagued us all day which might explain why you were having trouble accessing the site. Finally, we took the server off-line completely, as a result, the site was down for an hour or so.

As of 2150 EST it was back up. Everything seems to be back in order now so you shouldn't have any problems. If you do, please report them to the Site Administrator at admin (at) connorwatch.org.

Day 151 - November 12 - Hmmmm.

Well, I guess it's true that there is no way of speaking such that you cannot be misunderstood. It seems that I way overdid things my effort to address an itty-bitty detail.

I would imagine that even my effort here to clarify what I said will be misunderstood, if so, it was not and is not my intent to give offense.

To wit, I personally am grateful for all who choose to comment, and am actually working on some up-coming changes to the website that will make it easier for us to connect with each other, should you so choose, and reinforce the community that has evolved around ConnorWatch.

So, perhaps another way to say what I was trying to say...

If you want to be anonymous, please, don't do anything different. If you need to be anonymous, for whatever reason, shy, reserved, technologically declined, alternative belief system, personal preference, then by all means, be anonymous. That is OK. I'd rather have you here anonymously than not at all.

But for all of you that are putting your name in the comment field anyway, i.e., not remaining anonymous, e.g. Jeff, (OBTW Jeff, well done, and well appreciated, all the way around) INSTEAD, click the button at the end that says NAME/URL. Put your name in the NAME blank, IGNORE the URL blank, and publish.

Then your comment will start out with "YOUR NAME says..." followed by your comment.

Actually it will have your name there instead of YOUR NAME, if you get the picture. So when we start reading, we will know who is talking instead of waiting for the very end to figure it out. It is a big help when we don't have visual clues like looking at your face.

Or you could open a free Blogger account, upload your photo, and then your smiling visage will accompany every comment you make, like the one I made here on November 7th. If you need help doing that, let me know, and I'll post instructions.

In summary.

Anonymous - fine.

Not anonymous - use the NAME/URL button, or your BLOGGER ID.

Well, I hope that helps.

Jeff, thanks for cheering me up!

Day 151 - November 12 - Who Is This Anonymous Person Anyway?

Judging from the comments that make up so much of the ConnorWatch blog, you'd think that the most common name in America is "Anonymous" or that "Anonymous" has nothing better to do all day than comment on the ConnorWatch blog. Based on the last few days, it looks like more than half the comments on the blog are from someone named "Anonymous". Given his/her ubiquitious popularity, why didn't we elect him/her president? Who is this "Anonymous" person anyway?

Now, I know that's not quite an accurate portrayal, but sometimes sarcasm helps us see things more clearly.

What I'm getting at is that the ability to post anonymously is there for someone who genuinely needs to remain unknown. I recognize, at some fundamental level, that philosophy is contrary to Scripture and the community we find ourselves in here at ConnorWatch, but I haven't turned off the ability to post anonymously so that folks who don't share the same worldview, or have chosen a different path can still comment on the blog without fear of abuse, retaliation, or even a barrage of well-intentioned critical observations. (Yes, it does happen.) I want them to feel welcome, even if unknown.

So what I'm asking is that all of you (except for you who really needs to remain unknown) post your comments using your name, or at least your user name. Many of you include your name in the text portion of the comment anyway, so I know you aren't trying to remain anonymous. Specifically, what I mean is checking the appropriate box at the bottom of the comment form when you generate a comment.

After you write your comment, before you hit 'Publish Your Comment', CHOOSE YOUR IDENTITY. If you have a Google/Blogger or OpenID account, that is an easy one. If you don't then click the button beside NAME/URL. I know it sounds scary, but the URL is optional - leave it blank, and type your name or user name in the "Name" blank. Then publish your comment.

Just don't click Anonymous, unless you well and truly intend to remain anonymous.

Now when we look at the comments, it will say something like "Brad said..." followed by my comment, instead of the generic "Anonymous said..." See how much better that is for our community?

If you need more help on commenting, log in to ConnorWatch, and go to the FAQ page, "How do I post a comment on the ConnorWatch Blog"

We are more than anonymous - we are people, and we are a community of believers that have come together to carry some of our own through difficult times. Our words are our own, they have value, and are a reflection of ourselves. Most of us do not know each other except through the words we share here. Let us respect and encourage each other by sharing who we are when we share what we think. We will be the stronger for it.

Day 81 - September 4 - Server Outage!

As agent Maxwell Smart used to say, "Sorry about that, Chief!"

My apologies for your inability to connect with ConnorWatch for the last few hours. We have been experiencing serious difficulties with our servers out at the ol' server farm - not ConnorWatch related, but affecting the server that drives ConnorWatch and six of our other sites. Providentially, we have a crack team of technicians on the problem, and ConnorWatch actually came back on line while I was on the phone with them trying to get a status report.

The bad news - we may intermittently lose access to ConnorWatch as we wait to confirm that the problem has been corrected. We think it is fixed, but you don't know until you know.

Be patient - there's a lesson in here somewhere for us. If you see ConnorWatch down, don't be afraid to send an email to admin (at) connorwatch.org and see if you can catch me sleeping.

Day 54 - August 8 - Where in the World?

Time to check the Clustrmap again. We've upgraded our Clustrmap account, so now you can zoom in to see more detail.

Log in to ConnorWatch, click on the Clustrmap on any page, (the world map that says "Visitor Locations" and you will be rewarded with a full size map.

Click again in any part of the map, and that continent will be enlarged, making it easy to see where Connorwatch visitors are from. Still no country, state, or province names, but you already have them all memorized, right?

For a different perspective, click on  the navigation link: "Map with smaller clusters" which will help reveal all the little locations under those big spots.

Have fun, learn geography, and appreciate how really huge the body of Christ is in the context of ConnorWatch.

Oh, by the way, why no visitors from 'south of the border' or South America?

En ConnorWatch, nuestra casa es tu casa, y usted es siempre bienvenido!

Day 53 - August 7 - How Do I Leave a Comment?

Many of you have asked how you go about commenting on the Connorwatch blog. There are probably some of you too embarrassed to admit you don't know how, and are missing a big opportunity to encourage Connor and the Williamsons. Sounds like pride getting in the way, based on my own personal experience. I should know, given that God has taken special care to give me additional tutoring on that whole pride thing.

Regardless, I have undertaken the writing of a tutorial for those of you that really want to learn to comment on ConnorWatch, and I want to encourage each of you to try, if you haven't jumped in already. The tutorial can be found under the FAQ tab (Frequently Asked Questions).

If you are embarking on the comment adventure for the first time, I recommend the following:

1.  Log in to ConnorWatch. You do log in each time you visit, don't you? If not, who knows what you are missing.

2.  Go to the FAQ page and find the "How do I post a comment on ConnorWatch?" FAQ. It should be the first one.

3. Print the FAQ. How do I do that, you say?  In the upper right corner of the FAQ are three little buttons:

Saves the FAQ or any selected article as a .pdf file.
Prints the FAQ or any selected article using your normal print dialog box.
Opens a window that allows you to email the FAQ or any selected article directly from your browser.

How about that - so much to learn, so little time.

4. Now that you have printed out the FAQ, walk through it one step at a time, and you should be leaving your first successful comment in no time at all.

Now you are free to comment on anything that goes up on ConnorWatch. You can jump right in with words of encouragement, prayers, Scripture, theological discussion, song lyrics, recipes for Macaroni and Cheese, just about anything you can imagine.

No longer do you have an excuse for not commenting on ConnorWatch. Well, maybe just one.

You're afraid what others might think? Sounds a bit like pride to me, but what do I know?

Day 46 - July 31 - Lost in the Mail?

An anonymous poster commented that a video had been sent to ConnorWatch, but we haven't received one. Please resend - we'd hate to miss it.

For those of you who are creating movies for Connor:

1) Keep them short (1-2 minutes) and small (320x240 is fine, we aren't going to the big screen) with clear and clean audio,

b) Send them in any format (we will convert them here, though .mov is great because we have to convert to .3gp for a phone, and .flv for the web),

third) Email them to movies (at) connorwatch (dot) org. If you don't hear from us shortly, email us directly at admin (at) connorwatch (dot) org, and make sure we checked our mail.

Thanks,

Day 43 - July 28 - T-Shirts Are Available!

After the last few posts, it almost seems irreverent to tell you that the ConnorWatch T-shirts are available, but so many have been asking and having worked out the last few details, I thought I'd tell you on the blog since it may be a day or two until the web page is up.

Designed and made available by Cera Singley, sister of Cody, friend of Connor, pictured here behind Cody putting the serious hurt on a cup o' java, the T-shirts can be purchased through Eternal Treasures in Morgan Hill. You can stop by if you are in the area, (say hi to Fran for me), or you can order them over the phone or by mail. Cost is $20 plus shipping. All proceeds over the cost of the shirts will go to Connor and the Williamson family.

Fran and Eternal Treasures are graciously processing all of these orders at no cost to the Williamsons or ConnorWatch, but don't let that slow you down. Fran said "bring 'em on" when I said the orders might come fast and furious. "That's a problem we can deal with!", she claimed, as she shared the amazing story of how God arranged people and places to make sure she was the one that got to volunteer to sell T-shirts! (You'll have to ask her when you're in the store!)

So stop by Eternal Treasures at 433 Vineyard Town Center Way in Morgan Hill, or call them with your order and credit card at 408-779-7008. Their mailing address is:

Eternal Treasures
433 Vineyard Town Center Way
Morgan Hill, CA 95037

Hours: Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Closed Sunday.

You can also check out their website at www.e-ternaltreasures.com though you cannot order shirts on the web - yet.

We also have wristbands coming this week so keep an eye out!

Day 31 - July 16 - More Admin

The work continues to pile up, and when I get behind, I don't want folks to think I'm ignoring them, so I'm blogging this to all of you so everybody understands why I haven't responded to their email or phone call.

During the average day, I try to handle the issues that require immediate attention first, and then try to catch up on the aging issues. Right now, I'm receiving about 40 emails an hour related to ConnorWatch. Most don't require action, but the ones that do can fill up my day pretty quick. So be patient - if you haven't heard a response, it's coming, your email has been triaged and others are taking priority.

To coordinate visits to Fresno, please email the support team via the Contact page. They will give you their phone numbers if necessary to further coordinate.

Problems with the website - access, posting, etc. email me, Brad, through the Contact page.

Coordinating fundraisers - let Kent know. He'll check with Eric, give you the go ahead, and tell you to send promotional material to me.

If you call me, please call the office phone first. If I'm not in, leave a message. If you call my cell phone, you'll find out how spotty coverage is out here in the sticks, and your message to my cell phone may not get noticed for days. Really. We hope to move into the 90's shortly.

Finally, notice the ClustrMap? Despite the odd advertising associated with the map, it is currently accumulating data each time the page loads, and will shortly be automatically updating showing where people are logging in from. Should prove exciting.

Again, thanks for your patience, your persistence, and your willingness to journey with Connor and the rest of us. May God bless each of you today as He shows us new things.

Day 30 - July 15 - ConnorWatch Admin Update

Eric is on the road moving the RV, which leaves the rest of us at ConnorWatch to try to fill in the gaps and provide something of merit on the blog in the absence of his insightful and motivating vignettes as he shares his experiences with Connor.

As I'm not particularly insightful and currently sitting halfway across the country from Connor's bedside, I can only offer a little news about the ConnorWatch website.

We've added a 'Links' section, where we will be collecting relevant links regarding spinal injury, inspiration, and anything else we deem useful or interesting that is related to Connor. We also have links back to any site that has linked to ConnorWatch, as well as businesses, churches and individuals that are contributing or sponsoring ConnorWatch or the Williamsons. Be patient as we get the links updated, and let us know through the Contact page if you find something that should be linked and isn't.

What, you say you can't find the 'Links' button at the top of the page? It must be an oversight on your part, because the 'Links' button is only visible when you are logged in. I didn't do that to make it difficult, but rather to encourage you in a hopefully painless way to log in when you are viewing the site or the blog.

Why do we ask you to log in? Simply put - encouragement. When you are logged in, your user name shows up in the 'Who's Online' sidebar, which is a great encouragement to Eric and Cherié, myself, and others who are viewing the website. At any given moment, ConnorWatch viewers may number in the 60-80 range, and typically less than 10% of those are logged in. A lot of anonymous guests are missing the opportunity to encourage all those following ConnorWatch by having your user name appear in the 'Who's Online' sidebar, reminding each of us that there are very real people out there carrying the burden together.

Not sure how to login? It is simple. If you have a username and password, enter them in the two blocks in the left sidebar on the Home page under login. Check the "remember me" block if you want to have your browser remember your password for you, and click login. Whoa, that was hard! Note your user name appears in the 'Who's Online' section.

You can logout when you are done with the site, but you don't have to - your user name is automatically logged out after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Don't have a User Name and Password? Again, super easy. First, go to the Home page. Second, in the left sidebar under Login, there is a link for 'Create your account'. Click the link and supply a little information. Your username is what you will log in with, and what you will see in the 'Who's Online' in the sidebar. Use your real name and real email address. We won't disclose these to anybody without your permission, and will only use them if it is necessary to contact you regarding ConnorWatch, which we don't expect. Select a password you can remember, because you will need it the next time you log in. Click register.

Now here is the hard part. Go check your email.

Really. Look for a message from ConnorWatch - it should be there in a minute or two. If it doesn't arrive, contact admin through the Contact page. When it does arrive, follow the instructions - click on the link in the message. This confirms that you indeed signed yourself up for ConnorWatch, and not some spamming robot.

That was the hardest part. Now all you have to do is remember to sign in the next time you visit ConnorWatch or the blog, and you will add to the encouragement that every member of this community feels when they stop by for a minute to check on Connor.

We will all be grateful. And don't forget to check out the Links page.

Day 23 - July 8 - New ConnorWatch Website Registration

Some of you have noticed that the new website has a place to 'login' on the lower left corner of the home page, and are wondering what this is about.

First, in order to view the blog, and browse the website, you don't have to log in. We have tried to make this as welcome to guests as we possibly can. On the other hand, if you do register on the website by creating a free user ID and password, there are a couple of things it will do for you and us.

If you login each time you visit the website (you can check the 'remember me' box) it will list your user name as a visitor in the right column where it shows 'Who's Online'. As I'm posting this, I'm logged in as bradwmson, so you can tell I'm logged in. Now that in itself isn't worth much, but imagine how Eric and Cherié will feel seeing your name in the list of on-line visitors. It could be a bit of encouragement for them, even when we can't be there at their side.

Note: It is your 'username' that is displayed, so if the username you choose is cryptic, then we'll all get to guess who you are in the 'Who's Online' section. Just something you might want to consider.

Additionally, being logged in lets us tailor the content specifically for those who have registered, versus the general guests. Right now, were you to log in, you would see a poll on the home page asking you to tell us how you would best be notified by Connorwatch as things change with Connor. Again, we are asking so we can tailor the delivery mechanisms to best suit the friends and family that are so committed to serving Connor and the Williamsons.

Finally, it registers your email address in the ConnorWatch database. This is so we can send you direct notifications of significant events if you desire. Our commitment is to not use your email address for anything other than ConnorWatch, and to not sell, lease, lend, give away, or otherwise release your email to anyone for any purpose without your consent. I guess that qualifies as a privacy notice.

So, try it out. I think it will be helpful to you, and if it isn't, you can always unregister yourself. Don't forget to respond to the email activation notice it sends you. Once you confirm by activating your account, you can log in and join the rest of us.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Day 22 - July 7 - Website Transition

The new website is being released, and we are in the middle of transitioning all information to the new system. We don't expect you to encounter any problems, but if you have bookmarked specific pages besides www.connorwatch.org, the bookmark may fail or take you to the old site.

You should quickly recognize the difference - the header of the old site does not extend across the page, and the header on the site does. Besides having a better color scheme, there are many new features and functions, and most important, multi-user capability so that we can have multiple contributors.

You shouldn't have to do anything - one moment the old site will be there, and the next, it will be the new site. We are still transferring features over to the new site, so a few things will be missing until it is up to speed, but for the most part, the things you need most, like the blog, are already operational.

If you find a problem where something doesn't work correctly, please contact me and let me know.

We hope you find this a better experience for keeping up with Connor.

Day 19 - July 4 - Journey with Connor via Email

Today is Independence Day, celebrating the birth of this interesting experiment we call America! We are grateful to Mssrs. Jefferson, Adams, et al., for having the courage to set the course that we have pursued for over 230 years. Most of all, we are grateful to God for the opportunity to prove our stewardship of this fragile blessing called freedom in which we have the ability to choose the God we serve.

Celebrating that spirit of independence, today we set you free of the need to come to the ConnorWatch site to participate in Connor's journey. At several places, both on the site and on the blog, you will notice the addition of a small box that allows you to subscribe to have the blog postings and comments delivered by FeedBurner directly to your email.

For those of you who have your email pushed, that means you can get your ConnorWatch connection on your iPhone or Blackberrry. For others, now your email will let you know when things are changing on ConnorWatch.

In this community of believers, it's great to be connected, and we are grateful for each of you who have chosen to journey with Connor.

Hold fast!

Day 16 - July 1 - ConnorWatch Donations

For those of us out here in the trenches of ConnorWatch, we don't get the range of emotions associated with seeing Connor everyday, so the little things must make do for excitement for us.

I'm excited and pleased to announce that as of midnite EDT, after having been in operation for only five days, with 27 contributors, the ConnorWatch benefit has crossed the two thousand dollar mark.

The money that you have so selflessly and generously donated will be used to take care of the expenses that Eric and Cherié and family are accumulating living away from home for the past two weeks. As soon as we make specific distributions, I'll be able to tell you what blessings your generosity has provided.

Thank you again for your continued and on-going support, in prayer, encouragement, and financially. You demonstrate collectively a care for others that the world would do well to emulate. I am grateful that I get to be a part of seeing this happen.

Day 12 - June 27 - Downloads

Many of you have asked if we have a prayer card or reminder that could be kept prominently somewhere to remind us to pray over Connor and keep him in our thoughts.

We have added a Downloads section to ConnorWatch to make that possible. We have two cards up for you. Nothing fancy, but something you can use as a reminder, a prayer motivator, or simply to give to someone who wants to join all of us in this journey.

Because the road is easier when we don't have to journey alone.

Day 11 - June 26 - Thank you

For all the folks who are offering to help, and all the donations that are coming, we say thank you on the behalf of Connor, Eric, Cherié, and Joélle. We, and they, are overwhelmed with your generosity.

While our intention is to thank each and everyone of you personally with a short email at the least, we, like the proverbial sausage maker who backed into the meat grinder, are getting a little behind in our work.

So if you haven't received a thank you from the staff, at least, acknowledging your offer to help or your contribution, you can either be patient for a day or two as we catch up and watch your email, or send us a note saying "What's going on? Didn't you get my email?"

Either way, we are grateful that you're with us on this journey, and we do appreciate your contributions and offers to help.

Whatever you do, don't stop. This is a long journey, and we WILL need your help, if not today, then tomorrow, or next week, or next month, or...

If we can't accept all your offers to help all at once it's because there are many, many, of you who have selflessly offered your time, your meals, your companionship. Some we need to hold in reserve, so prepare yourself for the day when we can truly put you to work. You will always be needed.

Day 10 - June 25 - Financial Contributions Possible!

For all of you who have so generously offered to contribute financially, we are grateful. To make that easy to do, we have established a Paypal account and bank account for ConnorWatch. All you have to do is go to the Contribute page, or find one of the donate buttons strategically (well, sort of) placed about the site, and make your contribution through Paypal.

You can use a credit card, or by opening a free Paypal account, you can transfer money from your checking account without incurring the credit card service providers fees, which are about 3%.

We will move the money to Eric and Cherié as required for expenses. Our first big goal is to absorb the hotel bill for Cherié's parents through the end of the month, so they can support Eric and Cherié in Fresno without the additional stress of the hotel.

We are grateful for your willingness and insistence on being generous. We will do our best to be responsible stewards of the contributions you entrust to us.

Day 10 - June 25 - Imagining Big Things

Most of us have difficulty imagining the really big numbers: a 30 billion dollar budget increase, a quarter of a million miles to the moon, 6.5 billion people on earth.

One number that is easier to grasp, but not a lot easier, is a very real, meaningful number that is related to the people who are connected to Connor through ConnorWatch. Over the last 5 days the average number of page views on ConnorWatch averaged around 12,000, peaking at 13,500 on the weekend. That's thirteen thousand, five hundred, page views in a world where the average website measures traffic in the hundreds or less a day. Imagine that!

Most of that traffic was focused on the blog, but that number roughly translates to about 4 or 5 thousand people who are checking in on Connor's situation, and staying connected to him through ConnorWatch. Four or five thousand people being touched by the events surrounding Connor. Imagine that!

Continue to tell your friends about Connor, and if you haven't yet, leave a comment on the blog with a word of encouragement for Eric and Cherié, Connor and Joélle.

Imagine big things!

Day 8 - June 23 - Volunteer Webmaster Needed!

I'm reaching the limits on what I know and can do with the blog and website, and I'm neglecting some other areas of responsibility wrestling with web design and management that could probably be done better, easier and faster by someone with more experience than I have.

Do you have web design/management skills? Conversant in HTML, PHP, etc.? Up to date on the latest of technologies for web communication? Ready to take responsibility for 8 to 10 thousand hits a day? Want to contribute to ConnorWatch in a way that will truly impact the community supporting the Williamsons right now?

Contact me as soon as you can. It's a big responsibility, but I'm looking for someone with the will and skill to take over support of our primary communication interface, the website and blog management.

There is a lot to be done. Mechanisms for contributions, guestbooking, mapping, etc., will keep your hands full for a few days, but if that's your thing, then you know what I talking about.

Contact me through the contact page if webmaster is where you can help.

Day 8 - June 23 - Needs Support Team Formed!

As you might not be able to imagine, there is an incredible amount of work going on behind the scenes to make all of this work. It has increased to the point that it is difficult to even respond to the emailed offers of support that are coming in. For that, I apologize, and if you are waiting for a response, it should be coming soon. It didn't dawn on me that I was being overwhelmed until today, because I'm just not the sort of guy to admit those sort of things.

Having realized that I'm slowing things down by not keeping up, and having a providential phone call with Mel this morning resulted in a generous offer from Kim and Mel to take over the responsibility for coordinating all the incoming offers to help with the needs that Eric, Cherié, Connor and Joélle have.

So there is a new contact button on the Contact web page that will let you send your offers to help directly to Kim and Mel. They'll keep track of what is coming in, and match it with places to help, things to do, and contributions you can make.

Recognizing that there are more offers help at the moment than there are needs that can be filled, they may ask you to patiently wait until the time is right for you to engage. That having been said, please contact the Needs Support team with any offer to help.

Thanks for your continued willingness to give, and many, many thanks to Kim and Mel for taking over this significant responsiblity.

Day 8 - June 23 - Little help here, please.

Eric just mentioned a little need we can actually do something about.

Someone in the waiting room had mentioned reading an article about Connor's accident in the "local paper", which I presume means the Fresno Bee, though I'm not sure. Eric wants a copy of that article, if it exists. Does anyone have a copy of (probably) last Tuesday's edition that could locate and save the article for us?

Eric is just asking that someone find it, secure it, and hold it for him. Or maybe get it to his house or somewhere safe. He doesn't want to be given it only to have it lost or destroyed accidentally at the hospital.

I searched the Bee website and could find no mention of Connor, so it may be in some other paper. Let me know if you find anything.

Thanks,

Day 5 - June 20 - ConnorWatch site now available!

A little work in the spare time, and we have a website up that supports the ConnorWatch blog.

http://www.wmson.us/connor/index.html

Now you can see everything, including the blog, at one place, or you can still go to the blog directly. You choose.

The website includes all the things that are difficult to support on the blog - photos, prayer and support requests, frequently asked questions, etc. The site is changing hourly as we continue to identify and add features, so your patience is requested as it evolves. If you find bugs or think of things we need to include, email staff support, please. Save the blog and blog comments for things related to Connor and his family.

Look for features in the next few days like being able to subscribe to our mailing list, contribute financially for Eric and Cherié's non-medical needs, and others as they are identified.

I hope you find this useful - it is a small way to say thank you for your continued care and support for the California Williamsons.

It seems that there's been some sort of technical problem, and the guy who is administering this entire blog (my big brother, Brad) can no longer access the blog admin functions. He and the server administrators have been unable to locate the problem. He asked me to pray about it in order to keep the blog functioning correctly, and I could think of no better way to do so than to enlist the aid of the very folks who are relying on the blog for updates and encouragement.

Please pray specifically that Brad would regain the administrative access necessary to effectively run the blog, in order for it to be as effective as the Holy Spirit wants it to be.

Day 5 - June 20 - Admin Time Change

I just realized that the post time for this blog was set to Eastern time. I have changed it to Pacific Time to reflect what is going on in California. If you noticed a time change in the blog postings, remember that from this post on times are in Pacific Daylight Savings Time.

Day 4 - June 19 - Admin BLOG OUTAGE

I was just notified by blogger.com that there will be a blog outage for about 10 minutes starting at 2:00 pm PDT.

You will be able to read the blog, but posting new entries and comments will not be possible for about 10 minutes.

As Doug Adams said so succinctly in "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy",

...Don't Panic!
