Day 506 - November 3 - Nausea

A quick request for prayer for you who care for the boy - we were unable to make Connor's appointment Monday because he's been very nauseous since early yesterday morning. We don't know what's causing it, but he, and we, are concerned about getting him up and leaving the house. We rescheduled the appointment for a couple of weeks from now, but he remains nauseous and unwell. He has been awake multiple times through the night, and Cherié as well. She's not feeling too good either, so I've sent her upstairs to get a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep while I mind the shop downstairs before heading for work.

Please be praying for both Connor and Cherié, that whatever this is would pass quickly and that they would be able to rest and recuperate today. Pray also for their spirits - both of them are down, and the lack of sleep isn't helping. Pray that they would somehow be ministered to today.

Thank you,

E.

Connor and Cherie' are definitely in our prayers! Sure hope they don't have the H1N1 flu. I tried to get my son into the doctor a couple days back for something else, and the office girls told me that the doctor was just swamped with H1N1 patients, day after day, and he isn't taking any new patients, because he's so busy with this.

The doctor originally told me that the first signs of the flu, we should come in to be tested to make sure it's not this Swine Flu. It can be pretty serious if not treated. Sore throat first, then progresses to other cold like symptoms, nausea/vomiting, I think also fever and all the other flu related symptoms.

I don't know if Connor or Cherie' have these symptoms, but just thought I'd pass this on since I just found this out with the doctor.

Just know, you all are in our hearts and prayers!!!

With love in Him!!
Kim

Dear all.... We are great!! Connor felt so much better yesterday when he woke up, and I feel fine. By the time Eric was at work, Connor was feeling so much better. Not sure what it was, but it kept Connor down all day Monday... just sick to his stomach and feeling punkie. Monday night was the hardest... but no vomiting, and no other symptoms. So whatever it was, has passed and we are doing great. Actually, Connor and I are going to head out of here for a little outing today...

So thank you for all of your prayers, it worked. By Tuesday mid-morning, Connor was up and in his chair, and on his computer. We also had a wonderful visit with our local Fire house that afternoon. They came by to get familiar with Connor's case and check out the lay of the land here. It actually turned out that the captain knew Connor. That was cool. She and I used to attend the same small home bible study 15 years ago.... Small world. So she and her crew were wonderful.

Thanks again for your continued prayers.... God has really kept His hand of protection over us against the flu and colds. We have been blessed.

Continuing to wait on God.

Cherie'

glad to hear that you are better -- hope your outing went okay, as well. How neat that you knew the fire captain who came to your home and what a blessing that they came to get acquainted w/ Connor & your family's special concerns.
