Day 177 - December 8 - More tiny steps
Since as far back as I can recall, Connor has had more signs of progress on his left side than on his right. He first sweated below his level of injury on his left side, followed later by his right. Goosebumps first started appearing on his left side, then slowly progressed down his right. And his left thumb started having some function first, while his right hand has been slower to respond.
Today, Joelle told me on the phone that she had been working with the boy on his hand movements, and all of his fingers and thumb on his right hand were clearly moving under Connor's direction. Additionally, he has told us of other sensations that are much, much lower on his spinal column than his injury level.
This encourages us. It's frustrating that things are happening so slowly, and one of the things I really don't want to have to learn from this is patience! So I'm trying as hard as I can not to be impatient!
So if you see me wandering down the aisle at the local supermarket chanting "Macaroni annd Cheese, Macaroni and Cheese", please don't direct me to Aisle 7B - I'm just reminding myself of Day 53 and My Microwave Christianity!

Way to go Connor! Hey, progress is progress, no matter how slowly it happens. You are doing what the doctors said you couldn't do. That in itself is amazing.
More great news!!! Praise God!
Coonor,
What grand news!! Okay so now I am having dreams about you being restored!! Not that my faith and belief wouldn't imagine it! There is something huge waiting for us and this patience thing our families are learning. Funny thing happened to me today! I received a call from an Army recruiter. Our God has such a sense of humor!
Eric, yes I heAr the audible words of "mac and cheese." Also, I woke up with Isaiah 40:31 on my heart for you and your fam, as well as for mine.
Have a great day Williamsons and the Connorwatch fam.

Hello Williamson Family,
Wanted to say hey and let you know we are still here and praying. We read the blog almost everyday. Watching Connor progresss slowly must be like opening up Christmas gifts slowly. I am sure that God has a great gift in store, so be patient! I pray you all are healthy during this season. I pray you find comfort in the gifts the Lord has given you, even the little ones.
In His Grip,
Jennifer D.
Just curious, is Connor left or right handed?
Right.
saw you at safeway today...you looked pretty well put together.
walking and talking at the same time...pretty good for a man who gets up at 4am works all day and then works all night......
this is your life. this is your moment right now. not tomorrow, not next week...today. keep using it to His glory and and he will supply the manna...or mac and cheese.

We continue to have Connor and all of you in our heartfelt prayers! We are so excited each time we hear of any movement. It is hard to be patient, I'm sure, but God always wants to teach us patience, and boy is it hard sometimes! I should know, as I'm not a very patient person.
We will continue praying and hope you have a wonderful Christmas! So glad you're all home and you have Connor with you.
Love in Him!
Kim & Ken
lol Guess what I had for dinner tonight? Macaroni and cheese. :D
Of course it wasn't Mom Williamson's Mac and Cheese, but I'm all the way over here and she's all the way over there. So Kraft will have to do!
Still watching...still praying...
Love you guys. See you Friday.
Jenann
Oh gosh! I forgot to say, praising God for the new sensations and movement! That's awesome!
