Day 147 - November 8 - Speaking of mail

Many of you have asked for a mailing address for Connor. This can be found on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page by clicking the button on the top of the page titled "FAQS". If you do not see the button, it is because you are not logged into the Members Only section of the website. Log in from the front page and the button will appear.

It's available only to members of the site in order to try to limit the amount of pre-approved credit applications, free offers for little blue pills, and other unwanted junk mail that arrives in our mailbox. So if you'd like to send something to Connor or the family, sign in and drop us a note!

On a more serious note, please be praying for Connor and the family tomorrow (Sunday). We are trying to get to church together as a family for the first time since June. For those of you with kids, you know what a challenge it can be to get to church with anything resembling a right heart and attitude. We feel a large amount of resistance as we've endeavored to get to church the last couple of weeks, and so we're praying ourselves through it. Your support would be appreciated, that we would be able to get all the logistical details in place as we try to meet the time constraints of getting everyone up, dressed, and in the van in time to make the service. Additionally, since we don't always function as graciously as we should first thing in the morning, tempers can flare and frustrations can mount. Your prayers for us as we try this for the first time would be appreciated.

I suggest that we as participants in this blog read Acts 2:42 and build a "home church" for the family until they can make a smooth transition back to West Hills.

Home churches were the model in Jesus' time. Small groups singing, praising, praying, gathering together in small groups.

We certainly have the vocal talent, prayer warriors, and scripture reference to make this successful.

It could be later in the day too it that makes it easier on Connor.

While a home church is a GREAT idea, we as a family have been struggling with this issue for a while...our church, while a wonderful, loving, and giving church, is pretty ill equipped when it comes to accommodations with children/adults with disabilities. Sometimes it seems as if they don't even exist, as we have yet to hear any communications, sermons, etc. regarding the subject. When I have seen the occasional few that make it to our church, and we do have a few people with disabilities that are pretty high functioning, the others never seem to come back. We have had a caregiver in our home on Sunday morning for the last several years, in order for us to have some respite and attend church as almost a family, but she has graduated and moved on to her "real" job and we miss her greatly. We applaud you and your efforts to "get out there"..maybe it will help give us the courage that we need to do so as well..

With love,
The Froess's

Williamson Family,

It was wonderful to see you all at Church this morning. Praise God you all could make it together. We hope and pray that it blessed you to be all together and worshiping with your Church family. It was wonderful to see you surrounded by friends which feel like your family. Do tell Connor thank you for coming and sharing himself with all of us, something always comforting to see the person and witness with our own eyes that they are doing well.
You continue to bless us all and be a beam of light to us all. Do blog how we all can be of better to help to you both on Sunday morning and every day of the week!

You are loved and appreciated!

What a blessing to see Connor and family at church this morning. My boys were so happy to meet him. I could see how excited people were to have Connor back at church. I hope it was a great morning for you all too. Thank you so much for being there today. We look forward to seeing Connor and family again soon. God bless!

Yes! How wonderful it was to see you all (sorry - I wouldn't make a very good Texan) at church this morning! And, of course, it's always a joy to hear Cherie sing! You all (there I go again) truly blessed my socks off this morning! Praise God - He is GOOD... *all the time*!

I wish I could have been there--I know it's tough just getting there and don't know how well-equipped your facility is to handle it. We used to carry my daughter's wheel chair up many steps just to get into the santuary and then, the bathroom was in the basement so that meant many more steps :) Fortunately, we had a small building across the street where we could hear the message but not be able to see anything so we felt like we missed out on the fellowship of worship. Just being with other Christians made it worth all the hassle even though it was alot of sweat & tears at the time! Hang in there and I am sure you (and all who were at church today) were deeply blessed! Our love to you all.

Do you know if the church will have any way for those who were not able to attend this morning, to see a clip of Cherie singing? I would love to be part of that, since I was ill and not able to make it in this morning?

Rebecca - Cherie wasn't part of the (official) worship team.... As is always the case when we happen to be in the same service, I heard her from across the sanctuary - and I was blessed.

(Those of you who have never had the opportunity to meet the Williamsons or, especially, worship with them, have by now something of an idea that they are a musical family. The truth is, God has blessed them all with incredible gifts, both vocally and as instrumentalists!)
