Day 146 - November 7 - Big Bad Birthday Brad

In the spirit of brotherly love that caused Brad and Kent to point out my birthday on Day 6 of Connor's journey, I feel compelled to return the favor. Allow me to introduce you to the fact that today, my big brother Brad is turning 51 (at least I think it's 51...)!

This gives me the opportunity to drag him (figuratively, of course - he's much too big brotherly for me to physically drag anywhere) out of his underground lair (OK, his office is in the basement, but "underground lair" has a much more nefarious ring to it. Don't you agree?) and draw attention to him!

Brad busts his hump all the time to keep ConnorWatch up and running, all while also doing his real work. Without his quick thinking, this blog would not exist, and without his dedication, the website would never have expanded into this community. Through Brad's efforts, God provided our family with an army of prayer warriors to lift up the boy. I am deeply in debt to Brad for this, and acknowledging him publicly for all his help doesn't begin to repay it.

Besides, I just like to give him grief now and then! Isn't that what little brothers are for? 8-)

Happy Birhtday, bro!

Warm birthday wishes, Brad. You model what being a brother is all about!

A genuine thank you, brother Eric, for the birthday accolades. I humbly accept your thanks and your encouraging words.

However, I suspect the REAL reason that you point out that I'm turning 51 is so that I myself must make a public correction and reveal the truth that I am actually turning 52. I would, however, like to remind you and our ConnorWatch community that like my '84 Mercedes 300, it isn't the years, it's the miles.

And don't ask.

In any case, thanks for not capitalizing on the 'fathead'theme.

At your service,

Brad

Oops! OK, 52 it is.

And I didn't have to capitalize on the "fathead" theme - I'll just refer everyone to your blog photo...

No 70's pictures? Bummer! Though I do not know you personally Brad, my deepest and heartfelt "Thank you and Bless you" for the website and for your birthday. You seem like an AB FAB big brother and uncle.

Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY Fathead!!

As for you, Eric, isn't it a blessing that Brad will always be older than you? I share my home with my bro (who's just a few months behind Brad in antiquity) and I do in fact get some milage from being the baby sis. Eric, you and I are similarly young (I'm a couple months after you.)

As for you, Brad, the real heartbreaker is that you're an antique compared to our president elect. Yikes!

Best wishes for many, many more birthdays.

Alright, already, you young ne'er-do-wells, I realize you are just trying to get my goat...so...

a. Fathead web photo? = camera lens distortion.

second. I'm old enough to remember when the only way you could connect to the internet was via a phone line. At 75 baud. Both ways. And it was uphill. In the snow.

3. Older than the President elect? I did offer my services to the transition team and they said, sorry, there is no Cabinet chair called "Adult Supervision".

Quattro. When I was your age, Pluto was a planet.

...you got me.

Dear Big Bro Brad,

I don't know you, but I wish I had a big brother like you especially in times of trouble and tribulation. What a blessing you are to your family and to all of the ConnorWatch community of friends and family. This website reminds me to pray for Comnnor on a daily basis so thank you for helping me to stay faithful in prayer! Wishing you the best birthday and the best gift (Connor's full healing)this year!

Your sister in Christ,

Deb

Thank you, Brad, for keeping the website up and going--you have figured out the intricacies that I can only think I would understand (but don't). My 52nd year was a good one so pray it holds many wonderful things for you & your family as well! Just remember--you are only one day older at a time so appreciate each day for what it is and love those about you. As we have learned, our lives can change forever in just one second!

Happy Birthday, Brad! You have the best birthday! You share it with Billy Graham (90 today!) and... me (44)! Oh - and some people think that Plato was born on November 7th. (Yes, that Plato - don't ask me how they think they know that...)

Seriously - thanks for the immense amount of hard work you put in to run ConnorWatch - I know it's a labor of love, but there's still a lot of labor involved!

Blessings,
Lee
