Day 144 - November 5 - Latest update
Well, I have to apologize again for not posting sooner. Seems that life continually crowds me out and then it's suddenly time to go to bed...
Today went pretty well for Connor. He didn't have any lung or saturation issues today (thank you for your diligent prayers!), and he had a good time up in his chair trying to master the new controls for his computer. Fortunately, he's pretty quick picking up stuff like that.
I have one reasonably big problem, however - I'm running out of good adjectives that are synonymous with "incredible" or "outstanding". I try to express something we're experiencing, only to find I'm using the same words over and over again. For example, I would tell you that we were extraordinarily blessed yesterday by the members of a local church, but the word "extraordinarily" has been used exactly 3,197 times in the blog since June, and it also doesn't even begin to convey the depth of the blessing these folks are to us. Someday in glory the nature and significance of this blessing will be revealed, but for now just trust that when God says He "...is able to do more than we can ask or imagine", He really, really means it!
Oh, yeah - I made up the "3,197" bit.
Did you know that 71.6 per cent of all cited statistics are made up on the spot?
8-)
Please continue to pray for us - we're so tired we can't see straight, but somehow we make it through the day. I have to admit to being a bit surprised that I haven't fallen asleep at the wheel on my way home from work yet. Of course, I also suspect my Mom wonders why I've taken to calling her so often as I drive to/from work...
Falling asleep at the keyboard again, though. Goodnight...

Actually, it's 73.2% of all stats. ;)
Thank you for the update. I love to hear how Connor tackles each new challenge he's presented with! All glory and honor to God who has placed in Connor the drive and tenacity that keeps him going and learning. James 1:17 says, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows."
Thanking and praising God today for Who He is, and for the gift to us all that is Connor.
Jenann
We continue to be extraordinarily blessed by you Williamson family!
Now it's 3,198! :)
Love and Prayers,

We never get tired of hearing how good God is. So, we never get tires of hearing how He is being extraordinarily good in your life.
Pray that your day goes well and that you get good rest and safe travel!
The Derendinger Family
since you are running out of adjectives, I say break the rules and start using verbs!! ; )

Tex, here's my offerings:
Bodacious, Gi-normous, Gargantualistic, Fantabulous, expo-normus, incredibulistic, overwhelmulous, Groove-a-licuous, and finally Perfectulascious !!!! You can also get double-minleage out of these by placing the adverb "totally" in front of each one, i.e., "God is 'Totally Fantabulous'!!!"
hope this helps.
xxxooo, Fuzzy
I haven't commented in a while, but I have prayed. I'm still "commenting" to God ;-)
I can totally relate to your whole tired-state-survival-mode. When Annie came home from the hospital at 5 weeks old - we didn't sleep through the night for 2 years (mainly due to some middle of the night things we had to do for her). A helpful thing that I discovered as time went on, was that if I wasn't "on call" for Annie for that particular night, I put in earplugs. Yes, what a Godsend that was! You see, even if we're not the one who is first in line to wake up, we still hear the noises that might prevent us from getting complete rest.
Of course, the earplugs didn't prevent my 2 year old (at the time) from coming in and waking me up, but you guys don't have that problem ;-)
I know you guys are most likely not getting enough sleep but at least the earplugs might help you to get better quality sleep. Is nursing help on the way, or what?
Eric,
I am so glad you told us "Oh, yeah - I made up the "3,197" bit."
I was getting worried about you there for a minute, thinking maybe you're trying to count those adjectives. :-)
Webster's dictionary just doesn't contain enough words for us to adequately praise God for His blessings, nor adjectives to describe all the mavelous news about Connor each day. Connor is a remarkable young man and his fan club delights in every new event in his recovery.
So Connor, keep up the good work. You're doing great!
In His Love,

Brilliant (famously popular in Brittian meaning "incredible" or "extraordinary", occasionally prefaced by such luminaries as Bono with a vulgar word which combined means, essentially, "really really brilliant), supercalifragilistic-expialidocious, rad (flashback to surfer days), awesome (again, in the surfer sense), rockin', cool (another surfer reference). Um, can you tell I was reared in surf-land?

How about unfailing and ever present? Even when we can't seem to "feel" Him, He's ALWAYS here.
Dear Williamson's,
Praising God and praying for rest that refreshes. Thank you for updating us - our family checks often for updates so we know how to pray and praise!

As much as I love getting daily updates, not getting a new post every day means that you are busy with life AT HOME, just like you said. Yes, it's exhausting, but so much nicer to be home and living life than to still be in the hospital with waaay too much blog time on your hands, right? :)
Still praying for daily strength for you all, and will specifically add a request for you to not fall asleep as you travel to and from work, Eric! Praise for God's continued abundant provision - so exciting to see Him blessing you all through the hands and actions of other believers - and those doing the blessing are blessed themselves to be showing God's love, I'm sure. Blessings all around! :)
Have a great weekend!
~Amy
PS - Fuzzy, those are some great words! ;) Or should I say fantabulous?!
We continue praying for Connor and all your family! And especially that you may get some kind of assistance, so you can get more sleep and the rest that you need!
We're excited to hear of Connor's, feeling and movement, and continue asking the Lord to "Finish His Work!!" We're thankful for the answers of prayer so far!
Always in our thoughts and prayers!!
Kim
