Day 131 - October 24 - Thumbs up!
Well, not quite, but this evening Cherié and I watched as Connor moved his left thumb about one eighth of an inch! He slowly moved it from side to side two or three times. I asked him if he was moving it, and he said something along the lines of "I think so".
Another very small sign of improvement - we'll take it. Thank you, Lord. We ask that you would faithfully complete this work you've begun.
Please be praying that these steps would consistently grow and increase, and that movement, feeling, and control would quickly return to all of Connor's body.
Also, please be in prayer for us as we search for a van for Connor. Because of his size, we are looking for a Dodge Sprinter to outfit for the boy. It's just another of the many challenges we face in this new life of ours, and your prayers in this regard are appreciated.
Eric

The One who placed the stars in the heavens and causes the waves to stop at the shore, is surely moving that finger, a little at a time...Thanks be to our great God!
Hope your van search goes well. I'm sure it will all come together like some many things are for you. And hopefully the finger is just the start of the recovery! I'm betting the hugs precede the motorcycle ride...but not by much. The question is who will get to their bike first?? :o)
Thinking of you always.

Again, your post made a great day even better. I am in tears, tears of joy for the improvement in Connor's movement. God is always good, he hears our prayers. We offer our prayers up to God for Connor daily. Really, he hears our prayers! My prayer is that you will not need that van in the near future!
A side note. Marc and I went to see Fireproof tonight. I thought of Cherie as the line "brother from another mother" was used. I giggled a bit.

God is good! All the time!
Praise Him!
Praise the Lord for the movement! :-)
Thank you, God for the small steps you've faithfully provided.
Thank you for moving Connor's finger as a sign that you are healing his body. The world is on the edge of it's seat watching Connor's progress and the Williamson family's faithfulness in accepting each step as you lay it before them.
Praise be to God for continuing to bring the support to them as they need it.
I couldn't help a paraphrased application from 2 Peter 3:8
A little movement is still movement!
Hallelujah!
"But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." 2 Peter 3:8

Hi Williamson family, I attend WHCC. We haven't met personally, but I've come to know you a little bit through your blog. Raquel B. shared that you could use some help in your new routine. I am free most days except Wed. and would gladly volunteer to come to your home and assist in what ever way I can. My phone # in San Martin is 683-2136. Please call me. Love, Nancy Murphy
Hi Williamson's
Your always on our hearts...always....and always in our prayers... We trusting..believing..praying..fighting.. and will not give up!!!
Just wanted you to know that.. Also found it interesting... last night..it seemed all night..i kept having dreams about Connor... Woke up with him on my heart and was praying for him as i woke up.. I never remember dreams..but i remembered this one.. connor was standing up with crutches at the ocean.. he was with a friend.. and we were all in awe that he was standing..I told Lexi.. and she said .."mom..all week i have been having dreams about connor standing up.. Then...i call them a "coinci..God....My son ..Jeff randomly walked by me and said .." I had a dream about Connor last night.. I totally got the chills..cuz i was earlier telling Lexi my dream.. and i said what did you dream.. He said..Connor was wiggling his big toe.."...
Ok.. so i just wanted to share with you that..these dreams really encouraged me..TO KEEP PRAYING...I felt like God gave me a picture..of what we are asking and believeing Him for..
"My hope is in HIM"...
We won't stop believing..
we love you tons..

Bless you, Nancy. And all the rest of you out there who are putting leg work to all of our prayers. I am humbled to observe God's Hands at work through His earthly Body. I feel a little useless out here in Tennessee, but I know being part of the prayer warriors is of great importance. God does hear our prayers, as many have mentioned. I am still believing for amazing, spectacular things to transpire in Connor's body. I've been witness to greater things than that, so I know what God is capable of in these current days.
Thanking God with you for the Thumbs Up. If my Tennessee Titans can win their game Monday night against the Colts and keep their undefeated record, Connor, please send out another thumbs up for your big sis in Nashville. We used to be Raiders fans when we lived in Prunedale, but we have been converted since relocating. Maybe I can take you to LP Field to see a game one of these days. You're always welcome!
Faithfully,

Connor,
That is huge!! Your thumb is at or near your injury level (C-4/5 according to Fresno). You will be a "walking quad" and I challenge you to a foot race. I better get on my strengthening exercises because you are going to beat me. HEHE. Just keep moving it!!
Praying for your van!
God is working!!!! Thumbs away!!!!
Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!
PS-I don't really know what a Dodge Sprinter is but there's a really big newer white van for sale in Hollister in a residential area. I'll check it out the next time I go by and see what kind it is exactly. You never know...
God Bless!
