Day 52 - August 6 -Jamba Juice Here We Come!!!!!

Praise be to the lifter of our heads!!! Connor passed with flying colors, no limits!! Not only can he have water, my sweet son can have food. She also said they will write an order for outside food to be allowed to be brought in as well!! Our wonderful speech and swallow therapist was even praying for Connor while she was mixing all of his barium drinks together. We are so happy!! God has provided Connor with some of the most wonderful, loving, The whole ICU crew was joyful and celebrating with Connor.

Thank you for your prayers and for continuing to lift Connor up in prayer. God answered... and He said "Yes, my son. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear... Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them."

Isn't God faithful!! Remind me again Jenann when my hope and faith weakens. I love how you do that.

Today... me and my house will praise the Lord!!!

Love you all for your faithfulness!!

Hi everyone, this is grannyp. I am here at the hospital and have never learned how to 'blog', so I am writing a blog here. I am watching our things while Eric is celebrating with Connor, and Joelle and Cherie are on the road to Jamba Juice! We are so excited.
Now that Connor is in a regular bed he can watch t.v. and oh my those food commercials are killers!!! So he will get to have food and drink for the FIRST TIME SINCE JUNE 16TH!!!! They have been using a feeding tube inserted in his stomach until now. And they already ordered him food for tonight, isn't that great?
Thank you God! And thank you HIS PEOPLE, for praying. So as you eat your wonderful meals this day, and drink cool refreshing drinks, remember that it is not something to be taken lightly, but to savor, and thank God for the priviledge! grannyp

I do LOVE that Granny P blogged. It brought tears to my eyes as I read it all. Make sure the boy get's his lemonade that his big sissie had promised also.

We are SO thrilled for all of you. If this does not back up all the remarks about how, and what, to pray for.....GOD IS GOOD! Let us all remember to thank Him for even the "baby steps" Connor must take. Do let us know what ALL your favorite foods are as I know we would love to send gift cards so you may all have a "favorite" dinner TOGETHER! (hip hip hurray!)
How wonderful to "break bread" together as a family! I will treasure our simple dinner together tonight. (even the two year old who throws his food to the floor)

THANK YOU GOD!
Hugs from MH.

Psalm 103:1-5- "Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles."

Psalm 105: 1-5- "Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done. Sing to Him,sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts. Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonders He has done..."

Praise the Lord. God is truly awesome and has blessed Connor with his healing grace, one step at a time. WE continue to pray for complete restoration of Connor's nervous system. Prayer releases the power of God as we pray not only for our own needs but for the needs of others as well. May God continue to give you strength, patience and endurance. Connor, keep your eyes focused on God for He sees the whole picture and knows His perfect plan for you. You can trust Him, because He loves you.

Alright... This brought tears to my eyes. I'm SO thankful and excited that our prayers were answered! What an amazing gift. Please tell Connor that Ripley said hi, and that I think the Bacon Western Cheeseburger is, by far, the koooolest burger in town.

Cherie,
when we spoke of prayer for my husband and yours and their struggle with control, to provide for their family, to be the leader...i neglected to pray for you.

we as mothers just give it all continually, you said your rest was limited. after this leap of joy, please rest when connor rests. nap with him.

i remember napping with my son after kindergarten every day...20 minutes together was heaven. i pray for peace and rest for your weary heart today cherie.

Praise God! You all continue to be such inspiration to me. The miracles, the blessings, the answers to prayer . . . God is amazing! I will continue to lift Connor up each and every day in prayer and thank Him for the blessing of each of you. I'll never take another meal nor sip of water for granted again! Our prayers over meals will never quite be the same again . . . all to His glory!

Connor, don't lose heart . . . the Lord has already done such great work through you and I know He has great plans for you!

Love,
The Thiels
