Day 64 - August 18 - Nine Weeks

A brief update -

I got to the hospital this morning to find that Connor is now breathing with vent settings of 6 PEEP and 30% O2. This is the setting that the facility in Gilroy wants to see as a maximum for transfer, so that's good. He will need to stay stable on these settings for at least a few days. So far his numbers are remaining steady.

Of concern is that they have found the pseudamonas in his lungs. I don't know yet if they're going to treat it with antibiotics again or not, but my concern is him having more bacteria in his lungs putting him at risk of pneumonia again. Please be praying for his protection against any infection, especially in his lungs. Also, please be praying that CareMeridian in Gilroy will be able to employ a Respiratory Therapist in time to support Connor's move closer to home - we like the facility, and it's nearby, but our first concern has to be Connor's health. Please be praying for God's provision to get us closer to home.

Joélle and Cherié went back to Morgan Hill yesterday so Joélle could work this morning and Cherié could have a bit of time away. Please pray for their safe travel back here this afternoon.

Gotta get back into the boy's room now. More later...

Love y'all!

Eric and Family,
Lungs, breath, life. How intricate He has made us, breath carrying oxygen to the blood cells and throughout the body...amazing. Connor's lungs, breath, life in God's hands wrapped in so many fervent prayers. We will not cease to hope, pray, and thank the Lord for all of you every day.

Thanks for the quick update. Glad to see the numbers that qualify for the possible move to Gilroy...if that is God's plan...God's provision & timing will be perfect. Praying for clearing of lungs & protection from pneumonia.

Encouraging news about his numbers! I am praying for health in his lungs as you all await news of his ability to be moved. May God's will be done.

Thank you for the update and letting us know what teh strongest prayer need was for today. We will pray for numbers to stay steady, proper care and care providers.

Hope wifey makes it back safely and that you will continue to find comfort in being together. Funny the roads God has us walk together in life.

Find time to laugh today and reflect on how good God is and how He does supply our needs. In HIS time not ours. Waiting is hard to do if you are two or fifty two.

Hugs from MH
