Day 59 - August 13 - A couple more things

Cherié reminded me of a couple things I forgot to mention in the last post. First, Connor started his day this morning with a visit from two lovely girls who drove down from Morgan Hill to bring some gifts and cards, but who really brought encouragement. It was a great start to the day for him.

Second, we just got a call from Joélle, who had attended the college group Bible study this evening. She couldn't wait to tell us about the evening, including the topic of discussion - "Patience and Bitterness toward God". Man, I wish I could have been there - that sounds like something I could use! They discussed finding yourself in an unexpected place at an unexpected time, and she was blessed and challenged by it. She also had the opportunity to update everyone about Connor's status, so she was well-pleased with her evening.

It's time for bed, so off we go. We thank you for your continued support! We are praying for each of you, that God would minister to you as you minister to us.

May God bless you and keep you. May He cause His face to shine upon you, and give you peace.

Good night.

It's so good to hear that Connor is progressing with his respirations. Let him know that my boys are faithfully praying for him. They all three check the blogs constantly and I have to beat them off the computer to read for myself. Through it they are seeing how Christians handle suffering. They are very proud to know Connor and this ordeal has had a profound impact on them, especially CJ. I'm off to Seattle tomorrow. I love you and am praying for you. It's good to know that God has already seen tomorrow and has made all the provisions you will need. All we have to know is that He will be there and He will be enough. Hold Fast.

Hi Eric,

Our son Craig, was there at the college group at your church tonight. He's not home yet to hear about the night, but I'm sure he got a lot out of it also. He loves that group! I hope he had a chance to meet Joelle.

You are continually in our family talks and prayers. We will keep your family close in heart and prayers to our Lord.

Please let Connor know we are thinking about him, praying for him, and he has been a real encouragement to us!

With much love in Christ!

Kim & Ken Thomas from Hollister.

Just talked with our son Craig for a min. as he just got home from the college group. He was able to lead the worship tonight with his guitar. He's done that a few times now.

He said that they broke up in small groups, I think prayer groups, and Joelle was in his group and he did have a chance to meet her.

It's so nice to finally put a face to what we're reading, and we are real anxious to meet all of you one day.

We're praying!!!!!
In Christ!

Up early for some reason. Can't sleep. Connor is on my mind so I just prayed for him and you all. This morning I asked God for all of the usual request but find myself focusing on asking Him to give wisdom to all. I also pray for peace to reign in you all today.

Thinking about you all in Norco.

With love in Christ,

Claudia

Eric, what you have to say is important. We all do not realize how deep our faith is, until God challenges and we have choices to either strengthen our faith or let it die or let the situation destroy us. The place where your family is, is difficult and I know God is right there with each of you.

Love,
Joey and Cindy Dalla
