Day 52 - August 6 - Photos

Pictures of Connor's first Jamba Juice in two months!

I'm on my way over to Carl's Jr. for the boy - his request for his first meal was a Western Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. I guess 18-year-olds will be 18-year-olds! For anybody wishing to send gift cards or coupons to Connor, you can check the FAQ pages by clicking here to see what fast foods are around. He's very excited!

Thanks again for your prayers. I'll be forwarding more photos to Brad for posting on the Photos page, so watch for updates there soon.

God is amazing.
That picture is so hopeful.
Look how God prepared Connor for this trial...by giving him a family like the Williamsons.
Awesome.

Such WONDERFUL news! I'm thrilled for you all. The picture's great; Connor's so intent on the jamba juice that he's not even smiling, but I bet he did afterwards!!

Eric,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the pictures. It does my heart good to see this little tiny bit of "normalcy" for Connor. I love you all and I'm praying constantly.

These pictures make me cry, as we have sons that are 25, 16, & 14. They just got back from Hartland Christian Camp, which is near Hume Lake. Our 25 year old was a counselor there. Oh, and we have a 27 year old married daughter also.

Ken & I both, when we were younger, went year after year to Hume Lake with our church group. Ken was even on staff for 2 summer's with a music group, when he was college aged, leading the kids in worship.

Also, all 3 of our boys play drums, and guitar/bass, and have been playing at our church along with their dad, who plays piano and leads worship some of the weeks.

So it really hits home for us. We can't even imagine what you've gone through these couple months.

Only the Lord could possibly help me through something like this, as He obviously is with all of you.

We feel that we know you, as we know many people from your church, and we attend and are very involved in our church, Grace Bible Church in Hollister. Your wonderful Pastor, Mike Burchfield, along with Pastor Christian Zorio, have helped our church recently through a very tough church family situation, and we SOO appreciate them! They were a gift from the Lord!!!

My husband, Ken and I, along with our kids, have been praying for Conner and your family nonstop, and recently following your blogs. Can't tell you how happy we are to see Conner drinking and now able to eat! How exciting!!

Just know, that you are constantly on our minds, in our hearts and in our prayers!! We will continue to pray for the days ahead!

With Love in Christ!

Yes - thanks for the pictures!

AU - I'm sure that, along with Connor's big grin after his Jamba Juice, everyone reading this is smiling along with him :-)

P.S.

Also, our whole church is praying for Conner and your family at this time. We've had him on our church prayerchain since the beginning. And will continue.

Praise be to God! Thank you Lord that something as simple as 'Jamba Juice' can fill the hearts, lift the spirits and give hope to your children.

I have been reading this blog since the beginning, but have never commented before.
I just had to say how wonderful it was to see that picture.
Sitting here with happy tears and thanking the Lord for His mercies.

Praise God for allowing Connor to have the joy of eating and drinking again! Now Connor will have something to look forward to each day in spite of the otherwise painfully slow progress. A picture is definitely worth a thousand words. Thank you!

I rarely eat fast food anymore and never thought that I'd be thanking and praising God that someone I care about was craving, ordering, and anticipating Carls Jr...but I am!!! This is such great news. We've been reminded through the prayer requests for Connor's lungs that we shouldn't take breathing for granted. Granny P...thank you for reminding us that eating and drinking is a blessing and gift from God as well. And you blog just fine. :)

Thank you for posting the pictures. And please thank Connor for being okay with that. We don't have to see those to be thankful...but it sure is a nice addition!!

Blessings, prayers, and love to all of you.

Keeping the faith and praying for continued miracles.

I'm so excited to be watching for every milestone to come. And, I know they will. Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord!! Tell Granny I loved her post too. :)

What a sight! Those pictures speak volumes.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below,
Praise Him above, ye heavenly hosts,
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Praying for more of those baby steps.

We have such an awesome God. Praise you Lord Jesus for we know this gift is from You.
This is one of many, many, many more to come.

Our Lord knew Connor when he was void and without form. Knew him at the moment of his conception and in his mother's womb. He knows the number of the hairs on his head and the beautiful freckles on his handsome face. He knows Connor's begining and his end and ALL that is in between. Connor is not out of God's sight for a second. God loves this child.

Praise the Lord, thank you sweet Jesus!

YIPPEE!!!! What a magnificent blaze of light this is!!! As the UVA fellowship crowd in the early 80's used to say, "Good God Times!"

For those on the east coast who may not know, Carl's Jr. is the same as Hardee's. So you can give a shout out of "Yay!" or "Eww...I mean Yay!"

Continuing to pray, and thankful for the sensation of taste for Connor!

I haven't posted in a while, but I've been following/praying along. Thank you for the posts, the pics, and the constant reminder that our faith takes continually 'working out with fear and trembling'....awe at the power, love and attentiveness of our God, and the reminders of just what an incredible life He gives us. Wouldn't it be easier to live for Him if we could remember this, and all the things that are minute-by-minute miracles that we take for granted? Oh to have the faith of a child that stills sees the wonders of life at every turn. Thank you again for the reminders.

Since reading the news this morning, I have two childrens' church songs stuck in my head.

"My God is so great, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do.
My God is so great, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do.
The mountains are His; the rivers are His; the stars are his handy work, too.
My God is so great, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do....FOR YOU!"

and....

"God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good.
He's SO GOOD to me!"

Rejoicing for Connor this morning and thanking God for the caregivers that are willing to pray as they help him!

Wow...I was so excited to see Connor's pic of him drinking that Jamba Juice that I just had to hit that donate button and send some money for him to have whatever his heart desires to eat! Way to go, Connor! Just to let you know my kids group at church last night remembered you in their prayer requests. You are being lifted high in prayer, and it appears the prayers are being heard loud and clear. We are so thrilled for you. Enjoy your food and drink!

Connor,
I cried tears of joy when I heard you were able to swallow your java juice. :) The comment of how we take so much for granted, really made me think how blessed we are. I will continue to pray for more progress. I check out each day in hopes of seeing what else God is doing for you. Bless your everyday with God's love. Marge, a former Fresno resident. :)
