Day 39 - July 24 - Top Ten List

The Top 10 Reasons why being in the hospital is like going to Disneyland -

10. You spend more time waiting than anything else.
9. They have rides!
8. The older you are, the less fun it is.
7. It is a small world, after all.
6. It's easy to get lost.
5. Well, I guess you can call it "food".
4. Some of the staff makes you smile, but others are just a little bit scary.
3. One word - sanitized.
2. Way too many kids underfoot.

And the number one reason why being in the hospital is like going to Disneyland...

1. You pay a lot to get in, but you're gonna spend a lot more before you get back out!

Hope you get the same wry smile I got as we put this together. We obviously have too much time on our hands, but this is what you get when you put me and Kent in the same room. God bless you!

Letterman doesn't have anything on the Williamson boys!! This is a great post and it sure put a smile on my face. So glad that you can find some humor in your situation. But from what I've read on the blog...Kent seems to be pretty good at that. :)

God bless you all!!

Love your creative minds... Where fantasy comes true for "children of all ages". Great job on the blog. I think it lifted our spirits in the content of the piece as well as just seeing you break away from the stress of it all. Laughter is good medicine!

Kent, you're a God-send.

I continue to lift of All YA'LLS.
(That's my new Tennessee lingo attempt from a California transplant.) Totally, fur sure.

Don't forget to mention in your disclaimer the warning not to remove the tag under penalty of law. I'm not exactly which tag, but I'm sure you should take note. :)

Still praying...

Humor is great for the soul! And for your sanity. It's either laugh or cry and since you and us have been doing alot of the latter, laughter is much needed. My family has a quirky sense of humor as well, so we totally get it!
Love you guys,

As I read your list, I had a mental picture.
There were these two brothers, see...
They were kicking back with a fince cigar and making the air around them stink real good...
And, for a couple of minutes they forgot about living through hell...
And they raised a little instead.

Hallelujah!

Glad to see that you two can take a minute and let some of the blessings of levity soak in.

==========

Earlier, I was pondering the "whys" of Connor's situation and God reminded me that He doesn't always tell us what He's doing; we simply have to "make do" with what we know.

Deuteronomy 29:29
"The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law."

The truth is, the things that God has revealed to Connor about His nature and His goodness belong to "the boy" forever.

The boy has a fine legacy, handed down from both his dad the Texan and from his Heavenly Father.

Love you man,

Jeff

But but but... it IS food, at least in my humble, DizGeek opinion.

Love it, glad the humor is alive and well up there!

I'd love to treat you all to a real meal at the Happiest Place on Earth when you come down here!
