Day 29 - July 14 - Make that 32!

First things first - Connor remains about the same today. His numbers are acceptable, but not fantastic. Also not terrible, so that's a blessing. The RT tells me that his X-ray from this morning is about the same. Connor isn't getting worse, but he also isn't improving dramatically. It's difficult to face every day with a perspective that since we haven't been run over a truck, it must be a great day - but that seems to be one of the lessons I'm learning here.

There were a couple of encouraging moments today, which I won't describe in detail. Suffice to say that I am encouraged and blessed by the number of doctors, nurses and other staff members who are following Connor's story through the blog, lifting him up in prayer, and being touched by how God is working in us and through this story.

I really appreciated the updated list of where folks are from - you have no idea how much it blesses and encourages us to see the gathered saints all over the globe. It surprised me that there were 29 states - judging from the words of support and encouragement, I'd assumed there were more. So I took a few minutes to tabulate for myself, and here's what I found -

We can add Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Helena, Montana; and Hawaii - these I'm aware of, so we can add those three states and bring the known total to 32 states. Also, if you know of someone who is following Connor's story from any of these states, let us know:

Connecticut; Delaware; Kansas; Louisiana; Maine; Massachusetts; Nebraska; New Hampshire; New Jersey; New Mexico; North Dakota; Oklahoma; Rhode Island; South Carolina; South Dakota; Vermont; West Virginia; and Wyoming.

I apologize if I missed someone who previously posted their location - this is just an exercise to occupy my mind, so if I've left you out, I'm sorry.

Also, if you have friends or family who don't know about the boy but would be willing to follow the story and lift him up in any of these states, please forward the website over to them.

I know that God doesn't need all 50 states covered to heal my son; He doesn't really need anything. I also know that there's no real reason for me to know the true number - God knows, and that's what really matters. I just think it would really encourage the boy l if I could tell him that every state was covered.

Oh, yeah - anybody know someone in Antarctica?

My daughter, Rachel, sponsors a 12 y/o girl in Ethiopia. Rachel just wrote the little girl a letter and asked her to pray for Connor. It will probably take about 2 weeks for the girl to get the letter, but then Ethiopia will be covered!

You can also add Illinois and Indiana to the list. I heard about Connor from my grade school friend and college roommate. There are many of us here who are lifting Connor up in our prayers on a daily basis.

Keep the faith.

I pray today and everyday. My father is 86 years old and very odd when it comes to "his god and prayer". He feels it is a VERY PRIVATE thing between he and GOD since his time during WWII. He knows he is here today because of "his way with GOD". Sorry, this is kind of a long story. Anyway he had met Joelle a few summers ago when she came to visit with my neice. My father remembers Joelle very well. My brother had mentioned Connor and his condition to him recently. Today when I spoke to my father, I told him again about Joelle's brother Connor and what had happened and his current condition. Knowning my father and his private beliefs, coming from him this is a true blessing. He stated today, "that boy needs us to pray for him". "I will pray for him every morning I wake." For my father to "wake" every day at his age is a blessing. "Knowing he will openly pray for a boy he doesn't know is hugh blessing given his "private thing with GOD".
God Bless,

Isn't it amazing to think that our matchless God is neither overwhelmed nor overburdened by the prayers of so many saints around the globe lifted up for Connor... all the while also receiving and paying loving attention to the prayers of so many others for a myriad other concerns large and small... all the while holding the universe together.

I am not far, I am in Morgan Hill, but I know of Connor only because I am a new Vine Academy Family starting this fall. We received the news about Connor because we are now on the email list. I have been reading your prayer requests, keeping up on Connor's progress and praying. Nothing is too hard or impossible for our God. Thank you Lord for hearing our prayers. God Bless you and keep you.

Hello Mr. Williamson! It's Peggy from the "Faulwetter Clan!" I just wanted to let you know that I have been fervently praying for Connor throughout each and every day, and I have been thinking of you all and wishing there was something more that I could do. While I am not in Antarctica, I wanted to let you know that my best friend Laura is living in Japan, and so Japan is covered! She, too, has been praying daily for all of you and checking the blog and wanted me to let you know that she "gives Connor and the family her prayers for God's healing grace."
