Day 27 - July 12 - Evening
Another day draws to another close. My mom has arrived safely in beautiful downtown Fresno. We visited with the boy before he went to sleep, and he was glad to see her and talked a bit before he went to sleep.
In the evening, his numbers seemed steady, if a bit lower than I'd have liked to see. His respirator is still on the new, more normal breath setting, with his O2 and pressure settings the same as before. His saturation hovers in the mid-90s, although it did drop once to 89. We're really praying that he will remain steadily in the mid to upper 90s through the night.
Additionally, we continue to pray for his lungs to begin working on their own. This one need haunts me night and day, and so I continue to plead before my Lord to grant this request.
Cherié and Granny are back in Morgan Hill tonight, prepping the RV for me to bring it down on Tuesday. Please pray for their comfort and state of mind tonight, as it is Cherié's first night away from the boy. Pray that God comforts her mother's heart while she's away from her child, and that they get safely back here tomorrow.
Joélle and I struggled a bit today, wrestling with depression and fear (again). It wasn't until early this evening that we remembered this verse, and spent a bit of time quoting it to each other:
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:17-18
I'm going to bed. May God bless my son tonight, and bless you for your prayers.

Hi Eric, Cherie', Joelle and precious Connor..
Just a little note to let you know that you are always always always on our hearts.. in our thoughts and on our lips as we pray faith, hope and healing into your lives.. We stand with you and fight for you.. God has full control.. I so loved eric your analogy about the sailor and how we are to keep our eyes on the one who controls the ship.. It's hard!!! Battles like yours are so hard.. Cannot imagine how hard your all working right now.. Only a supernatural God can walk you through this.. We love you and we BELIEVE...
lOVE, The MacPhail's and Lexi.. she sends all her love...give Connor a big hug and squeeze from her and us..
Good night sweet family, Lord Bless and keep you Psalm 4:8 says I will lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone, Oh Lord, will keep me safe. may the Lord bless you all with sweet sleep through the night.
Praying in Downey,
You're sounding exhausted, Eric, and sleep is just what is needed. My husband and I are holding all of you up in prayer, along with thousands of others. May God grant you and all of your family the stamina, faith, and courage to endure each day as it comes, supported by the love of so many.
I got to thinking about all of these days of waiting...and I'm wondering if God is giving other parts of Connor's body the necessary time to heal and knit together which will support those areas we see as very immediate needs? We are, indeed, "fearfully and wonderfully made" and our Creator knows and loves us dearly.

I've thought of and prayed for Connor's grandparents over the past weeks.
As a grandparent myself, I know how
difficult it is to see your own child's pain as he deals with the suffering of your grandchild.
May the God of Love and Mercy be with your parents, Connor's aunts uncles, cousins, and all your extended faimly.
God continue your blessings on you, Cherie and Joelle.

Glad Grandma Williamson is there with all of you now. Ardye will be a blessing.
Eric, your entry on the Sailor was the focal point of our Sunday School lesson today, and how you are so encouraging to all of us.
We cannot even imagine how hard this is for you and your family; but praise God, we are being blessed by your strength, your words and your open love of our Lord! Even when your spirit is low, your faith is strong. What a great testimony to so many. And, what a blessing to Conner to have been born into such a strong Christian family!
We continue to pray for Conner's breathing on his own, and we lift your family up in prayer.

Good Morning, Connor and Family, the Lord has given us another beautiful day, the birds are singing the sky is blue with white puffy clouds, I think it's a little glimpse of what the Lord is preparing for us all who love Him.
The Lord gave me these scriptures for you,
Philippians 4:4-9
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again-rejoice!
Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.
Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
And now dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me-everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
Amen to that!
Thank you Lord you are so good to us!
Have a Blessed Day!
We're believing and excited about all the encouraging news we will be blessed with today, hang in there family we are interceding for you, may God's mercy cover each of you today!
Praying in Downey
Still praying for Connor and company from true Nor-Cal.
Lets pray that Connor's lungs improve to the point he needs no mechanical assistance.
Another prayer for the rest of the family including newly arrived in Ca. Grandma, and holding down the fort on the other side of the country Grandpa.
John aka Pinkie.
