Day 17 - July 2 - Clarification - and praise!
After I posted that last blog, Cherie and I went in to put the boy to bed. Connor was sleeping soundly, so I took the opportunity to talk with the nurse. I asked her, since Connor had started the day at 40/100 and ended the day at 40/100, if that meant the respiratory therapists had tried to lower his O2 level further but he hadn't responded well. She told me that in fact, Connor had come so quickly down from 70% to 40% that they wanted to make sure he adjusted well before they lowered it further. I'll take that as a praise! I guess that means we get to keep praying for that 21%/100!
Another praise - my boss has graciously extended me additional time from work to deal with this situation. My most heartfelt appreciation goes to her and to my coworkers who are taking up the slack caused by my absence. Praise the Lord for such provision.
One more request before we sleep. The travel travail has begun. Our girl has gone back to our house in Morgan Hill to take care of some things. I would ask that y'all remember her safety when you pray.
We love y'all - God bless you.

Your whole family is in our prayers every day. Thank you for updating us on the specific needs and sharing the praises. Praise God for the extended leave your boss granted!! Another answer to prayer.
You know how much we love JoƩlle. We'll add her safety and rest to the list.
Blessings to you,

He Eric and Cherie and Joelle,
I have just caught up on Connor's blog because we have been getting Raquel ready to fly to the Philippines (she left last night); and so I just read your note re the neurosurgeon and his conversation with you re Connor's chances of living long. He said Christopher Reeve only lived seven years and he had access to all the best technology?
FYI, Joni Ericson Tada is alive after how many years? And she was injured how long ago? Maybe, 20 years ago, before we had things like roto-beds, and the like....the point being, it is God who has our days marked out, before we lived even one of them and He has Connor's marked out...so lets keep trusting Him above all, since He knows and has HIs hand on Connor. He can be trusted, eh?
Prayers r with you, as you know. Our God is so able to do above all we ask or imagine, and His will is the final word!!! Blessings to you.
Just wanted to drop you a note to say that prayers from Poland are being offered on Connor's behalf. We don't know each other, but we have a mutual friend who requested prayer for Connor within an hour or so of his accident. I've been following the blog since the beginning, and will continue to pray with all of you as Connor progresses.
According to their website Joni Eareckson Tada's accident happened in 1967 and she started the Joni & Friends ministry in 1979.

Praise God! Thanks for the continued updates... we continue to pray. Work has been extremely hectic for me (for some time now), and I haven't been able to check the blog as often as I had been, but I do pray for Connor and you all every time I think of you...
And ditto what Jenann said yesterday - and I'm sure for many others as well.
I happened to start into Ecclesiastes the other day in my Bible reading program for the year, and I was reminded of a sermon Todd preached a couple of weeks ago at WHCC. One of the verses he highlighted was this:
Ecclesiastes 3:11a He has made everything beautiful in its time.
May we trust Him together.

Praise be to God above! Awesome news on Conner and for your wonderful work force! Joell will be specifically in my prayers today.
Conner's picture is my background on my computer so I remember to pray all day for him. He is such a cutie! I have so many people praying for him at work. They check his blog frequently and ask about the family often. I praise God for my work friends as well. They never fail to pull together in times of need.
When I seen Conner's bed, all I could sing was TWIST AND SHOUT! HA! That is the coolest bed I've ever seen. Conner will have such a story to share when this is all behind us.
I pray blessings and answers to prayers all day today!
Psalms 108: My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises! Wake up, my soul!
Love you all!

Continuing to lift you up throughout the days and nights. I'll be out of town and away from internet until late Monday, but I'm expectant of what I'll be reading when I get back. You Williamsons have become part of my life, now, and checking on you, praying for you, and watching God work miracles in and through you has blessed me beyond words...
Hold Fast!!
Hi, guys,
Well, God is allowing our paths to cross more! My father-in-law, Roos Clayton, will be transferred to CRMC today from Sonora for intensive rehab after his stroke on June 1. So, we'll see you again today and we're so excited to hear what God is doing with Connor...(imagine the music....)"God is so good, God is so good, God is so good, He's so good to me." I know that song means a lot to you, Eric. :)

Hi There!
My name is Seth. I'm a friend of the Bergis family and Billy Coye. My family and I have been praying for Connor since we heard the news. The Lord gave me a scripture in Acts 12:6-11. The story is about how Peter was locked up under high security with no hope for escape except for the Lord. That night while the saints were praying Peter was set free.
The Lord said it doesn't matter how many medical devices Connor has attached to him, I am setting him free!
I'm waiting with great expectation for a complete healing in Connor's life. You have our love and support!
Love,
The Howell Family
We're praying for him daily and we'll be praying for Joelle too as she is home for awhile.
Eric, Cherie, Joelle, Conner:
We have continued to pray for you all daily. No one knows (not even the neuro surgeon) what God has in store for Conner's life. However we do know a few things:
1. He tells us to pray the desires of our heart and we desire and pray for full healing and restoration. We cannot second guess God's plan so we pray our hearts.
2. God's grace is sufficient. Your family is living proof of the power and wonder of God's tender grace. Even in the midst of your grief and struggle He is so obviously sustaining you.
3. He loves Conner beyond measure.
In the midst of all of the things that are out of our hands and control, it is good to be reminded of these things that we can know for sure.
In my prayers;
Dorene Beardsley
Sometimes God gets ahead of us, and 'we' as humans need time to catch up - Sounds like another example of that - 21% is waiting on 'us' to be ready for it.
Thank you God!!
