Day 16 - July 1 - ConnorWatch Donations

For those of us out here in the trenches of ConnorWatch, we don't get the range of emotions associated with seeing Connor everyday, so the little things must make do for excitement for us.

I'm excited and pleased to announce that as of midnite EDT, after having been in operation for only five days, with 27 contributors, the ConnorWatch benefit has crossed the two thousand dollar mark.

The money that you have so selflessly and generously donated will be used to take care of the expenses that Eric and Cherié and family are accumulating living away from home for the past two weeks. As soon as we make specific distributions, I'll be able to tell you what blessings your generosity has provided.

Thank you again for your continued and on-going support, in prayer, encouragement, and financially. You demonstrate collectively a care for others that the world would do well to emulate. I am grateful that I get to be a part of seeing this happen.

After reading Eric's note about "The fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much",(of which I was very impressed with Eric's analogy of the prayer), I opened an email from a friend and wanted to share this with you:

Subject: The NAFG Box

To: YOU
Date: TODAY
From: GOD

Reference: LIFE

This is God. Today, as every day you allow me to, I will be assisting in handing your problems. I want you to carry on and move forward - knowing that I have your back.
If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you think you cannot handle, don't forget that you do not have to resolve it by yourself! Kindly put it in the NAFG (Needing Assistance From God) box.
And don't worry - my inbox is never too full, I can handle everything you need from me. You need only to have faith and trust Me. All situations will be resolved, but do be patient, remember that it will be done in My time, not yours.
And, remember... Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold
onto it by worrying about it. Instead, pray - knowing that I will
provide the answers. And, don't forget to focus on all the wonderful things that I have provided in your life now.
I love you! So, no matter what happens - knowing that I love you -
you can have a nice day.
Love, God

This is the first time I have read this blog, I just didn't want to relive it, I am sorry that it took me so long to read it. I was the other guy in the water that helped Cody pull him out. I have been praying for Conner on a regular basis, and I know that God has control of the entire situation. I work at Hume Lake, and if I get the time I want to see Conner at least once before I go back to school for the fall. If you want to stay in contact, my email is shieldsjason@gmail.com.

I am on the prayer chain at MHBC. I have three daughters, the youngest, Jana, knows Connor and Joelle. My other two daughters have both been in ICU at different times, for different reasons. I remember praying very specifically for their blood gases to improve and for the ability to get onto room air. My prayers are with you, as individuals,as a couple and as a family.

My middle daughter was extremely premature and we heard all the worst things that could have/should have happened to her including blindness, cerebal palsy, mental handicaps of every kind etc. She is now 23 and seeking to serve God on the mission field in Thailand. Her only "disability" is that she needs glasses. It didn't have to happen that way, but it did.

Trusting with you for God's mercy and goodness in whatever turn the road takes.

Depending on Him,
Liz Whiteaker

praying for you, Connor, and your whole family and friends who are going through this with you. some words from C.S. Lewis that I hope will comfort you, all: “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world” So many are SHOUTING for you, in their faith and prayers! People are HEARING, I just know it!
“God, who foresaw your tribulation, has specially armed you to go through it, not without pain but without stain”
In Christ's love - Dee

Eric and family,

Just want to share an incident in the life of a friend.....he was in a bicycling accident 22 years ago, and suffered serious spinal injury. He went through much discouragement, despair, and depression through his recovery, but he lived. Yes, he is a paraplegic with no feeling from the chest down, spends most of his time in a wheelchair to get around, but is normal in every other way. He drives his car (with hand controls), can ride a special bike, teaches computer classes to senior citizens, etc. His testimony is that God not only saved him (from death, even though he wanted to die) but saved his marriage and drew his family back together through this "tragic" incident. We, in our finite thinking, see things only from the perspective of what we desire for our loved ones, but God sees things from the perspective of eternity. Whatever God wills for Conner and you is what will be. Our prayer, as is yours, is that He will restore Conner to full health and vitality, but maybe God has other plans. We do know that God knows what He is doing..."for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways", declares the LORD. Is.55:8.
Because we know He is in control over all things, we can praise Him and give Him the glory He deserves, whatever the outcome.

We have not heard lately if there is any improvement in Conner's feeling level. We are praying for that, as well as the recovery of his pulmonary system. We are praying with you for the 21% O2 and 100% sat level. Also your peace as you trust God through this time of trial. Praise His holy name.
