Day 5 - June 20 - Hopeful Day
I just hung up with Eric... he summarized by saying it was a hopeful day.
Connor's spine is slowly moving back in the direction the doctors want it to be. Which means that the paralytic drugs are doing their magic. They've taken a couple more X-rays, but Eric hadn't seen them yet.
Eric did say that after the nurses left he talked to Connor (in his drug-induced, paralized, near comatose state). Eric said "if you hear me, move your eyebrows." Connor moved his eyebrows. So Eric continued to talk and sing to him.
A couple of people visiting told Eric that when they held Connor's hand his hand twitched in theirs.
Then Joelle and a friend were sitting in Connor's room and Joelle was rubbing his feet (which sounds like the job every big sister wants!). She said to Connor, "if you can feel this, raise your eyebrows." And guess what... he raised his eyebrows.
The wrestling match between Hope & False Hope continues for certain, but overall Eric said it was a hopeful day. Pray for more days like this!

This is very good and praiseworthy news. I shall sleep well tonight, pondering these precious answers from our Gracious God.
Even though I have not met him, the picture of Connor speaks to me of his endearing spirit.
God Bless You.
Praise God for more answered prayer!

Praise the LORD for His faithfulness in answering prayer! It is a hopeful day, indeed! Every little twitch, every little movement (however miniscule), every little raising of the eyebrows is an acknowledgment, and a testament to the work that God is yet to complete.
I stand amazed at what God has accomplished thus far. And I, along with so many other sisters and brothers around the world, will continue to stand in the gap and intercede on behalf of Connor.
I woke up this morning with these words on my lips...and I'll lay my head down singing the same song.
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases.
His mercies never come to an end.
They are new every morning...
new every morning.
Great is thy faithfulness, O Lord!
Great is thy faithfulness!

Psalm 121
I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains?
No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.
- Lord, I pray that your mighty strength is at work in Connor, that you continue to straigten his spine and align his back to the way you created it to be and that he regain movement throughout his body.
- Lord, I pray that your mighty strength and love holds Mr. and Mrs. Williamson and Joelle together and that they look to you for strenth during this challenging time.
To God Be The Glory. Amen.
OH praise God! Heavenly Father I pray Your blessing and grace upon your children the Williamsons. You alone are God and through You are all things are possible. Our hope is in you.
