Day 4 - June 19 - Scan Postponed
Waiting is always the hardest part. A phone call with Eric indicates that the doctors have decided to postpone the CT scan until Monday, and pursue alternative plans for the traction on Connor's spine and neck. God grant us patience, and we want it now! Eric was really looking forward to the results and hoping that the doctors could move forward aggressively, but as of now that will wait until Monday.
Everyone sounded in good spirits - Connor is sedated and resting quietly as I understand it, which seems to take the burden of a child in pain off of Eric and Cherié, to a degree. We'll let you know more as it evolves.

Eric, Cherie and Connor, Just a quick note to say that our thoughts and prayers are with you all. If there's anything at all I/we can do for you, please, please, please ask- Everyone at work is very concerned and eager for any kind of news. Eric, I've got you totally covered at work. If we could get an address to send a card, etc, we would like to get something out to you all. I've got you cell number and might call you tomorrow. I'm at 510-676-8333 or Lodicat@juno.com. Best, Brett Lehigh
Do not be discouraged by this delay! God has a plan and His timing is perfect. Psalms 46:10 Be still and know that I am God
Cherie, I got your message today and am working out some details so I can come back down soon. I'd love to sing with you some more. The Lord continues to give me songs as I pray for you all and I sing them out in faith from up here in Morgan Hill. I keep seeing the scene play out in my mind from Monday evening: A boy trying to be brave as his mother leans over him, touching his face, drying his ichy tears, speaking and singing to him in soothing tones. What he cannot see is her legs trembling below, or the sweat that has soaked through the back of her shirt. And behind her stands a friend she calls her sister, who is rubbing her back and praying. But more importantly there is another present. The Lord, who formed the universe from nothing, and He is there in their midst - holding the boy, the Mom, the friend, all in the palm of His hand.Keep him in your memories of these moments because He is more real and present than any of us. Because of Him, we can sleep, blink, hope, trust...He never sleeps or slumbers but His eye is ever on you.
I love you
Jeanine
We don't know your family, but will be lifting you as you go through this time of uncertainty...We are ultimately praying for healing however God chooses is best for Connor, but during we ask for continued wisdom for the physicians from The Physician-our God. We also ask for continued peace that is beyond any of our thinking...
"Father protect and provide, make good somehow come out of this. Give the nurses, doctors, parents, family and friends of Connor wisdom and understanding they can grasp. Hold them as you have held our family in past struggle and tragedies. Be blessed by Connor's singing and praying for his roommate. Please make the CT scan happen just when and how it should. Bless all those who come in contact with this family. May others know Jesus because of them and Connor. We trust You...

Strength will rise as we wait upon You oh Lord...
To the Williamson family, we are checking this blog often for updates on Connor. You are in our prayers. Just know that we are thinking of you all constantly.

My prayers are with you at this time. May God grant you peace and wisdom in the days ahead. I am praying and believing that God will do something to bring Him the Glory. May we rejoice even in our troubles. And trust Him with all your heart. Remember if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountian,"Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17:20
God Bless you all.
Frances
You have never left our thoughts or prayers! You are an amazing family and god is watching over you during this difficult time!
All our love,

Dear Eric, Cherie, and Joelle, and Connor,
You are all in our prayers since we heard of Connor's accident. Even though this has taken us all by surprise, it had not taken our Heavenly Father by surprise.
Ephesians 4:6,7
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
May you experience God perfect peace through the midst of this trial. Know that we are holding you up from this side of the world!
In Christ,
Jodi Beck (Cambodia)

Ever ceasing, my prayers for you. As a mother, I feel the pain of uncertainity. I was also going to quote Psalm 46:10, as our Women's group were looking at it tonight. Be still, HE IS GOD! I pray that this time of rest for Connor, is resting for you also, for your body and spirit.
As always, in His Name,

Dear Eric, Cherie, Joelle, and Connor,
Just wanted you to know we are thinking of you and praying for you. It has been so encouraging to see the body of Christ come together from all over the world in response to a family -in Christ - in need. As I tossed in bed tonight God reminded me of these verses he has been impressing on my heart the last week and I wanted to share them with you.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 "Therefore do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary afflictions are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporal, but what is unseen is eternal. "

Answers to specific prayers I've lifted for Connor over the past several days:
Day 1
Prayer: That God would sustain his life for the critical first 24 hours.
Answer: June 17 - Tuesday Morning "Connor is alive, still breathing on his own."
Prayer: That God would touch Connor's body; specifically that his spinal cord would not be severed.
Answer: June 17 - Pinched Not Severed "We just learned that the MRI revealed that Connor's spinal cord is 'pinched' and not 'severed'."
Day 2
Prayer: That God would give Connor a peace that surpasses all understanding...even in the midst of a seemingly hopeless situation.
Answer: June 17 - Connor's Continual Testimony "...he can't move a muscle yet he finds it within himself to sing hymns!"
"Connor, laying in his bed with a halo on his head, saw this person's mother and asked her, 'Would it be alright if I prayed for your son?'"
Prayer: That God would provide for the Williamsons in practical ways as they now must set up camp away from home
Answer: June 17 - Respirator, etc.
"The camp where Connor was staying has made arrangements for Eric, Cherié & Joelle to get a hotel room right near the hospital where they can get a little rest."
June 18 - The Rollercoaster "Also, we found that the camp carries an insurance rider that will take over for us in the event my health insurance hits its lifetime limit, up to an additional $500,000. Wow, what a blessing, and what a relief from a niggling financial worry that I know I'm not supposed to worry about but can't seem to get out of my mind."
June 18 - The Rollercoaster "...one of the camp personnel, a fantastic and supportive man named Gary (who also turned out to be the father of Joy Hauge - a church sister of ours) has graciously offered us the use of his second home here in Fresno until we can get the boy moved. What an amazingly supportive way for him to demonstrate Christ's love to us."
June 19 - Laptop answer to prayer! Driver needed! "Danny Bonsell...graciously offered the loan of a Mac Powerbook for Eric and Cherié."
June 19 - Laptop on the way! "Danny just called - the laptop is on the way in an hour and will be there tonight, thanks to Melanie and Kim."
Prayer: That God would restore feeling and movement to Connor's body
Answer: June 18 - Update & Prayer List "Yesterday he had feeling from his upper chest up...this morning he has regained feeling down to his lower chest"
"He has been able to move his shoulders, but yesterday a couple of times he was able to move his forearm (bend at the elbow). The nurses said that with this type of injury he should not be able to do this..."
"Connor is in a lot of pain."
June 18 - The Rollercoaster "Cherie was sitting with Connor this morning when he began crying
'Somebody fix my legs, somebody move my legs'. Cherie adjusted and pulled on his feet, asking 'like this? Like this?', and Connor would respond 'No, no, it hurts - OK, like that'. To both legs.
"The medicos say it's just his imagination, but I have to ask if that were true, and he couldn't actually feel anything, how he knew that Cherie was moving his legs?"
Day 3
Prayer: That Connor would be able to get much needed rest and sleep through the night
Answer: June 19 - Breathe and Sleep "Connor slept through the night."
God is faithful. May His glory continue to shine through this ordeal as He answers more and more prayers.
Praying without ceasing,
Jenann
