Day 3 - June 18 - Thank You!

It's early on the east coast and even earlier in California, so I have yet to receive an update today, but I, on behalf of the family, want to thank those of you who have been praying for Connor as well as those who have been leaving comments on this blog and emailing us. Your words and prayers have been very encouraging. Thank you!

A friend in Switzerland sent this passage today... Colossians 1:9-17...

"Be assured that from the first day we heard of you, we haven't stopped praying for you, asking God to give you wise minds and spirits attuned to his will, and so acquire a thorough understanding of the ways in which God works. We pray that you'll live well for the Master, making him proud of you as you work hard in his orchard. As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you'll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul–not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us.

God rescued us from the dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He's set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.

We look at this Son and see the the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God's original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank of angels–everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment."

Oh do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, strengthen you and comfort you, by my mighty right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Connor, Cherie, Eric and Joelle,
We are praying without ceasing. I just keep seeing Connor as a young guy, playing army in the bushes with the boys, Connor and Daniel sleeping with Lady in your backyard and then the strong, wonderful young man that Connor has become, playing drums in church, being a great brother to Joelle, loving math in Bob's class. Just last week I watched Connor and Josh try to put together a patio heater-they couldn't have been goofier!
Cherie, my mother's heart is right there with you, aching and praying. I know that He is with you and I pray that you feel His comfort and I'm praying for miracles.
love from all the Harveys

Eric, Cherie, Joelle and most of all Connor,
God directed me in His word to Isaiah 43:15-21
" 'I am the Lord, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King.' Thus says the Lord, who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters, who brings forth the chariot and the horse, the army and the mighty man...'Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. 'Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it: I will even make a road way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people. The people whom I formed for Myself, will declare My praise.'"
With a heavy heart, I petition our Lord for peace in waiting, strength to trust in His provision and healing for your body. I read of you, Connor, singing praise to our Lord in this difficult time and I fall to my knee's worshipping the God who is carrying you through, providing "drink in this wilderness." Praise be to God our Father
With great love,
Cera Malech for the Malech Family

As a decades-long friend of Brad and family, I am moved by the plight of Connor and those who love him. I and others who have learned of Connor's injury through me hold him in our thoughts, wish we could help more, pray for him, hope for his complete recovery, or failing that, that all involved are lifted up by whatever transpires, and darkness is banished.

I received this email from Andrea McDaniel, a dear friend in Richmond, Virginia who is requesting prayers for Connor. Although I do not know Connor, reading the previous posts brought tears to my eyes to learn about the strength and purity of this young man's character. I will begin praying for a miracle (with Connor's spirit, this is altogether possible) and of course for God's will in his life. May our lord be with Connor, his family, friends and doctors at this time and throughtout his recovery.

I am praying for you and your family Cheri. You are in my heart and in my thoughts always. You are a dear friend and I am here for you at any time if there is anything you may need. You have raised a strong young man he will pull through this and only become stronger and more looked up to. He is such a wonderful roll model for men his age. I love you all and please give Connor a kiss and a hug. Love always, Sara

Before I read this blog, I knew that God would be using Connor in a mighty way among the patients and staff there at the hospital. What a joy it was to read that it is so!! Your family is constantly on our minds and the focus of our prayers. What a beautiful light you are in that place because of Jesus. Keep on singing Williamsons!

With fervant prayers- Neil & Krista Joiner

Williamson Family,

I just learned about Connor's accident moments ago. My prayers will be with you all. I pray for one of God's many miracles to touch Connor. I was led to Psalm 40 as I prayed for Connor. "I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand." Continue to trust the Lord.

words cannnot express how sorry we were to learn of Connor's accident.......................
We have put him on multiple prayer chains and continue to pray for him as a family. It was so encouraging to read Kent's report of how God is working and what a fine young man of God Connor is, not a surprise he has always had such a gentle and loving spirit.
We continue to lift all of you in prayer, please let us know if we can do more.

As I was reading in Acts 12 this morning, Conner was placed on my heart. Conner is shackled and imprisoned just as Peter was in this chapter. Please read on...

Verse 5 says "BUT WHILE PETER WAS IN PRISON, THE CHURCH PRAYED VERY EARNESTLY FOR HIM." Then verse 7 says "SUDDENLY THERE WAS A BRIGHT LIGHT IN THE CELL, AND AN ANGEL OF THE LORD STOOD BEFORE PETER. THE ANGEL TAPPED HIM ON THE SIDE TO AWAKEN HIM AND SAID, 'QUICK! GET UP!' AND THE CHAINS FELL OFF HIS WRISTS."

I believe it was no accident that God placed Conner on my heart in that story! Through our combined FAITH and perserverance in PRAYER, let's believe in this miracle for Conner! Oh God, may it be your will to send an angel to release CONNER from his prison!!!

From the Psalm of the day--Ps. 18:
The cords of death encompassed me...In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, And my cry for help before Him came into His ears...He sent from on high,He took me; He drew me out of many waters...He brought me forth also into a broad place; He rescued me because He delighted in me...As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. For who is God but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?

We heard the news here in Arizona yesterday and have known the Williamson family for a few years. We are deeply saddened by this accident but with all the love and prayers, we should see a miracle.

Williamson family and friends:
We have been in continual prayer for Conner, family, doctors, friends and all concerned. I can understand a little of what you are facing. Quite a few years ago I was involved in a fast speed, headon car crash. I had a crushed disk and several damaged disks. I had several back surgeries and was told I would never be the same. I jog, am involved in sports and many other physical activities. God can and does put miracles together.
Our continued prayer support for you all.
Erwin and Barb Boggs
