Day 15 - June 30 - Morning Report
Eric just called with a status report.
Connor's condition has worsened to some degree over the night. His oxygen saturation continues to drop as the condition in his lungs deteriorates. While this may just be one of the many dips on the roller-coaster, the medical staff is concerned enough that they have transferred him to a different kind of bed, one that rotates him completely, as opposed to the one that was just rocking him. So now he gets completely rolled over, which sounds like fun if you are 14 and healthy, but not so much for Connor.
As you can imagine, for Eric and CheriƩ it brings discouragement and despair. God did grant a bit of relief during the night, however, after the staff called Eric at the house at 1:30 a.m., they were spared the sense of urgency to return to the hospital and they were able to pray and doze for the rest of the night. They are preparing to head in as I write.
Pray for Connor's ability to get the oxygen that he needs, and for Eric and CheriƩ to get the rest and encouragement that they need.

We stand with you praying in the spirit, in our authority in Christ, and in the power and peace that only God can give.
We love you,
Joya
Eric, Cherie & Joelle: I continue seeking the Lord on your behalf. Even through the night I was awake and praying. I'm thankful God gives me those opportunities. I was specifically praying for Connor's lungs and for your rest.
Here is a verse that spoke to me last night: "Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!" Ps. 27:14
Pastor Mike preached on Rom. 12:12 yesterday. I'm praying these things for you (and myself). That you may "rejoice in hope" - Christ has given us the hope in our salvation, a new body and a future glory; be "patient in tribulation" - keeping your eyes on Christ as you weather the storm and know there will be an end in the future to this pain; be "steadfast in prayer" - this is our connection to God. May you be encouraged today.
Kathy
