Day 15 - June 30 - More lung procedures

At 2 PM PDT, the surgeons are going to do another procedure on Connor, where they drive a tiny camera down into his lungs and suction them out. This is a procedure that would appeal to CheriƩ, with her passion for vacuuming! Seriously, this has it's obvious risks and concerns, but also gives the doctors a chance to actually see much of what's going on in Connor's lungs while grabbing as much of this stuff as possible.

Please be praying that the doctors would be able to get the rest of this stuff out of his lungs, and that they will be amazed at how much progress Connor is making. Pray that the results of this procedure would translate into a significantly shorter period of time in the Roto-pedic, as well as a significantly shorter duration on the ventilator.

Please also pray that the procedure itself would be done correctly, safely and efficiently - that the doctors would know what to do and what not to do.

Also, this is a good time to publicly thank all the very professional health care providers who are taking such good care of the boy. I thank God for each of them; for the knowledge, skills and abilities that He has placed in them; and for their continued dedication to taking care of Connor when we are unable to do so. If I start mentioning names, I'll forget someone, and I don't want to do that. So, from a couple of very grateful parents, thank you for caring for our son.

What a nice SMILE on Connor! As I flipped through all the pictures for week 2 and as I pray I feel like I am right there in the room with Connor along with Eric, Cherie' & Joelle. How encouraging to see this young man smile even under all circumstances.
Praying right now for success with the tiny camera and the lung procedures.
Blessings,
Carolyn Brogan

May our God that supplies all our needs be with Connor today as the Doctors clean out his lungs and gives him new strength to breathe on his own. God guide the Doctors hands and minds during this procedure. Give Eric and the family your complete peace and allow them all to get the needed rest and assurances that they need from you. We thank you now for all that you are doing and will do for Connor, your precious son. In Jesus Name, Amen

Carolyn is right, Conner has a beautiful smile. Happiness in the face of trouble combined with prayer can be the most healing action a patient can have. I am praying that the suction procedure on his lungs will be sucessful and that God's purpose will be fullfilled so Conner can get on with his life. I too pray that his family will keep their health and spirits high. May God bless and keep you.

I am reminded of the verse... Find rest oh my soul in God Alone my hope comes from Him alone. He alone is my rock and my salvation He is my fortress I will not be shaken....Ps. 64

In this time God is all we need. He is your strong tower run to Him. Time in God's Word is the place you will be strengthened. I have prayed for all of you and Connor.

Rest in His loving arms,
Jolene Jarvis

We continue to uplift the Williamson family in prayer. The MHPC Missionary Family is also praying for you. Was just on the phone with John Bueno of Knox Fellowship. His prayers are with you right now as Connor undergoes the lung procedure. Also, I've listed below a note from the president of DAWN Ministries.

What a place of healing ConnorWatch has become. Obviously healing for Connor and his family but it's also been incredibly healing for the rest of us. As the 2 weeks have passed I am always pleasantly pleased when the Holy Spirit prompts me to pray for Connor. I am also tickled at the surprising locations. Just this weekend it was: during a ballet perrformance Saturday afternoon, in the middle of the night, sorting through peaches, on the phone with a friend in Fresno. I love that the Spirit knows when we need to be praying, even though we have no idea what is happening at that moment in Fresno, 3 hours away. We shall continue to be praying as the Spirit leads and checking in with the family on the Blog. Thank you for being so open and honest about your struggles, celebrations and the spiritual activity. Again, this has been a beautiful place of healing. THANK YOU!

It always comforts me to realize that nothing that happens to us is a surprise to God. He is sovereign and He knows everything that's going on with us at every moment. As this situation plays out, God is working His plan for salvation in ways we cannot see or even imagine. But His word tells us that He works ALL things together for good for those who love Him and are called for His purpose. Take heart and rest in confidence that He is with you every moment--He will supply your needs.

Our family is praying for your entire family and especially for Connor right now that his lungs will clear and that His peace would be upon all of you. We are continuing to pray for the transition that will bring Connor closer to home and for all the endless details of life, that they would run smoothly and all your personal needs will be met.
Sincerely,
The Varada Family
