Day 15 - June 30 - Answers to prayer

A quick post to update you and see if I can post from my iPhone.

Connor's saturation remains at 98 on 85% oxygen, still in the Roto-Pedic. His right lung continues to show congestion, but they are getting lots of stuff out of his lungs, which is an answer to prayer. Thank you, Lord!

The neurosurgery team cleared Connor today to take his cervical collar off! There's some question if it is "for a while" or "for good", but the sense I got 2nd hand was that he didn't have to wear it anymore! He certainly didn't have it on this afternoon!

So, some good news today. Please continue to lift the boy up for his full restoration. It's exciting to watch God work!

Thanks be to God for giving His human medical servants the answers to solve each issue that arises in Connor's body! My dad 71 year old had his lungs suctioned out once with a small camera thingy. We thought we were going to lose him, and after the procedure, he recovered wonderfully! He's still going strong! Medical technology guided by our Creator is such a blessing! The prayer chain has called on the angels to surround Connor and protect the family from spiritual and physical attacks!

Our God is faithful. While my heart aches for you and the torment of watching your son endure this journey, I praise God for the blessing you and Connor's story have been to me and my faith. Christ First Baptist Church is praying for you all. God bless!

Praise God! You were all heavy on my heart today... Now I know why. God is good!

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and praising our Lord together for all He's doing!

Jesus, right now I also pray for your mighty hand and power to protect, keep and encourage. You are greater than the one in this world and I pray YOUR armor on all involved as this spiritual battle rages.

I'm also praying for peaceful sleep...this is the song from scripture that I sing to my kids: "I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety."

Love,

Kristie for the Robinsons

I haven't had much opportunity to post anything today. But I have read all the entries and comments now. PRAISE THE LORD!! I'm so happy to hear Connor's lungs are being cleared out and that his sats are UP! I've been praying all day about it.

Actually, I have kind of a funny story. Last night I was asleep - - completely out. I don't know exactly what time this happened, but it was pitch black, so it had to be somewhere between 3 and 5 a.m. I was startled awake by what felt like a hand on my foot. Like someone just grabbed it and sort of shook it, like a parent waking a child up for school. I thought, "Well, who's there?" as though it was perfectly normal for someone to grab my foot in the middle of the night. So I grabbed a flashlight and flashed it toward the foot of the bed then a quick flash around the room. There was nothing or no one there. I completely relaxed and said, "Oh...it's you, God. I guess that means I have to pray." So I did, then fell promptly back to sleep. I don't remember everything I prayed but I do remember praying for Connor's lungs and the O2 saturation. Thank you, LORD, for answering that prayer. :)

It's great to hear that Connor's collar is off, permanent or temporary. He's gotta be stoked about that! I continue to pray specifically for the swelling to go down in and around his spinal cord. It's such a privilege to see God working, moving amongst His people, and answering prayers everyday. I praise Him for every little bit of progress. And I thank Him for giving you all a restful night of sleep.

Standing with you all...

Jenann

This evening as the teens of MHBC celebrated their graduation and listened to Grant sing in his old stomping grounds, I thought of you, of the struggles you have fought and the battles to win. I prayed for them all. Cody played Connor's guitar with vigor! I continue to lift Connor and your family up in prayer!

God continues to do a mighty work in all of us who can connect with you through prayer and especially through praises to our Lord. He is good. His mercies endure forever. I continue to go through Connor's and the family's experiences. God has great and wonderful plans for us all through your challenges. Thank you Lord for the blessings of this day for Connor, Eric, Cherie & Jo.

Through the Storm

"So take courage! For I believe God. It will be just as he said.' "

— Acts 27:25

Sometimes we may think that when we're in the will of God, it will be smooth sailing. But many times it is just the opposite. Doors slam in our faces. Obstacles appear in our paths and storms arise that threaten to drive us off course.

That is why we need to remember there is a devil who wants to stop us from doing what God wants us to do.

As the apostle Paul was on his way to do the will of God, he hit some tough times. An incredible storm arose that caused the people in his boat to despair of their lives. But there was no obstacle big enough to stop Paul. He always seemed to rise above his circumstances.

As he went through the storm, he knew God had shown him what to do, and he would let nothing deter him from that course.

When a hard time hits, when a crisis hits, when a tragedy hits, we often want out. We ask God for an airlift out of our problems.

But many times, God wants us to learn in the midst of them. Romans 8:35–37 says, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? . . . No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (NIV). Notice the phrase, "in all these things." It isn't saying we won't face some of these things. But it says that in them we are more than conquerors.

If you are seeking to obey the Lord, expect opposition. Expect obstacles. Expect difficulties. But also expect God to see you through.

This was Greg Laurie's devotion this morning, I thought of you all, Blessings, Linda
