Day 11 - June 26 - Attempting to Pray Attention
Just a quick story of praying for Connor.
During his surgery the other day I was in Maryland filming an interview for a project we're working on. The room we were in was jammed with equipment; the camera, the lights, the mics, c-stands, cables, etc., etc. In the center of the room was a pool of light where the talent was seated and I was sitting across from him near the lens of the camera, but out of the way of my camera man.
We were right in the heart of the interview when I found myself praying silently for Connor. The interviewee was in the middle of his response to one of the questions I had asked him and I was not listening to a word he was saying. I'm uncertain how much of his response I missed, because I was unaware of time at that point. I don't know if I lost eye contact with him and thinking back on it later I remembered that sometimes when I pray silently I'll move my lips as I mouth the words. Yikes!
I couldn't help but laugh at that thought, but fortunately the talent seemed none the wiser about it and we wrapped up with the final few questions.
Anyhow, I just thought I'd share an example of praying for Connor when he comes into our minds. He comes to our attention throughout the day for a reason. Don't miss your chance to lift him up.

Amen and Amen to today's comments. Sending knee-mail and hugs to you and all of Connor's family and the families praying for him.
I never do! He's lifted up many a times over here in Morgan Hill! Even with making snacks for 170+ people at VBS!
While I will be away from the internet until Monday, I will continue to pray fro Connor, Tex, Cherie, Joelle, and the rest of the family.

We live in Niles MI and Caitlin Williamson called us with the prayer request. As a family we stopped and prayed and have continued to do so. We will also send this message to family in Ecuador and Church friends at Peace in Grager,IN
If all the prayers were visible they would be like shimmering strands coming from all over the world to our Lord and Master. The golden strands of His replys would go in a multitude of directions with both bold and gentle hues. The lines and patterns would go in all directions and go to many more places than from were the requests were made.
All those strands... all those colors ... makes one wonder about the intricate design of that marvelous masterpiece. I guess that is His handy work and the beautiful design of prayer.
We gladly send out more and more strand of prayer for you Conner and your family.
