Day 10 - June 25 - Imagining Big Things
Most of us have difficulty imagining the really big numbers: a 30 billion dollar budget increase, a quarter of a million miles to the moon, 6.5 billion people on earth.
One number that is easier to grasp, but not a lot easier, is a very real, meaningful number that is related to the people who are connected to Connor through ConnorWatch. Over the last 5 days the average number of page views on ConnorWatch averaged around 12,000, peaking at 13,500 on the weekend. That's thirteen thousand, five hundred, page views in a world where the average website measures traffic in the hundreds or less a day. Imagine that!
Most of that traffic was focused on the blog, but that number roughly translates to about 4 or 5 thousand people who are checking in on Connor's situation, and staying connected to him through ConnorWatch. Four or five thousand people being touched by the events surrounding Connor. Imagine that!
Continue to tell your friends about Connor, and if you haven't yet, leave a comment on the blog with a word of encouragement for Eric and Cherié, Connor and Joélle.
Imagine big things!

Good morning Williamson family!
Although i have been out of town at college for several years, I am home for the summer and was hanging out with the Harvey family when I first heard of Connor's situation. Carianne Barr posted up links on myspace so that everyone who knew him could access this page, and since then i have been checking the site several times a day, reading every update and praying for Connor and the whole family. Thank you for keeping everybody updated through the site, i know that thousands of people are rooting for Connor through his hospital stay and through his whole recovery!

This means thousands of God's people are Praising Him in unity. Is this a picture of when our changed bodies in Heaven will be surrounding God's throne with songs of Praise and Honor?
Welcome One and All, it's heaven to be here with you. I am glad I am in the Family of God standing with my brothers and sisters, here, right now. God Bless You, All.
Yes, I'm part of that extended community, and praying for Connor and his family daily. I don't know any of you, but do know Linda Hathaway from 18 years ago as a co-worker (I guess her daughter Amy is one of Connor's friends). She told me about Connor, and ever since God has recruited me to pray. May God heal your precious son and cover you with his peace!

not only are believers reading this blog but unbelievers and the once saved but somehow lost again too. imagine the outreach ministry going on right now. to see such faith, love and support in a time of extreme chaos, fear and the unknown. i am a believer but because of the path my life has taken don't feel worthy of God's love and answer to prayer yet i find myself, before His Throne, asking for healing for Connor and peace for his family. I don't believe this happened to Connor for me alone, or for that matter for any one person to be "saved" but I do believe God is using this time and this blog to reach out to thousands to confirm that there is a "Peace that surpasses all understanding". I continue to pray for Connor and his family and will continue to avail myself to God, once again asking to be used by Him. Thank you for letting me be IN church again.
The Lord our God is an amazing Father! Psalm 41:3 is the Word of God for Conner and we as the children of the God Most High stand in agreement with that promise! We believe that God is able to do immesasuably more than we can ever ask, think or imagine! His purpose in Conners life and in the life is his family is for good and He will be faithful to each one of you. Our prayer is that you would know His true shalom (peace) and rest in it.

Hi-
My son Jon is a friend of Joelle's from Moody. My husband and I, and Jon, had the pleasure of meeting Connor in August of 2007 when he and his dad came to drop Joelle off at school. I was so saddened to hear of his accident. I have been praying for him all week. I have also emailed his story around at work (I work at Awana International in a suburb of Chicago). Everyone here is praying for Connor. I have been so touched by Eric, his dad's, postings. I can't even imagine what you all are going through. It is so awesome that we have a wonderful God who can carry us through situations like these. We will continue to pray, pray, pray. Thanks for posting the last picture of Connor and Joelle. It was good to see their smiling faces!!!

From the Psalms of the day:
85:13 Righteousness will go before Him, And will make His footsteps into a way.
115:1 Not to us, O LORD, not to us, But to Thy name give glory Because of Thy loving kindness, because of Thy truth.
145 (Because our Heavenly Father is worthy of all praise, the entire, beautiful psalm seemed appropriate--and Connor may remember I always assign a lot of reading.) :-)
I will extoll Thee, my God, O King; And I will bless Thy name forever and ever. Every day I will bless Thee, And I will praise Thy name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Thy works to another, And shall declare Thy mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of Thy majesty, And on Thy wonderful works, I will meditate. And men shall speak of the power of Thine awesome acts; And I will tell of Thy greatness. They shall eagerly utter the memory of Thine abundant goodness, And shall shout joyfully of Thy righteousness.
The LORD is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in loving-kindness. The LORD is good to all, And His mercies are over all His works. All Thy works shall give thanks to Thee, O LORD, And Thy godly ones shall bless Thee. They shall speak of the glory of Thy kindgom, And talk of Thy power; To make known to the sons of men Thy mighty acts, And the glory of the majesty of Thy kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Thy dominion endures throughout all generations.
The LORD sustains all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to Thee, And Thou dost give them their food in due time. Thou dost open Thy hand, And dost satisfy the desire of every living thing.
The LORD is righteous in all His ways, And kind in all His deeds. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them. The Lord keeps all who love Him; But all the wicked, He will destroy. My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD; And all flesh wil bless His name forever and ever.
I wanted to share this email I received:
Thank you so much Carolyn!!
I haven't stopped thinking about this young man and the things that his father wrote.
Sometimes I feel like God gives me a "Godsmack" and lets me know that other people are going through some tough things, worse then anything I am whining about!
What faith your friends have, it helps to strengthen my own!
I will continue to pray for all of them, please keep me in the loop.
Peace,

Today's Scripture
"This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Every day that we are given is a precious gift from Almighty God. We should wake up every morning with a grateful attitude, full of faith and expectancy for what the Lord has in store. Sure, you may be facing some challenges in your every day life, or maybe things aren't going the way you planned, but remember, each new day is a chance to stand strong in the midst of adversity and see the faithfulness of God. Every new day is an opportunity to praise and thank Him; to magnify your God instead of magnifying your problems. This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! Be glad that God has promised to never leave us or forsake us. Be glad that God has given you a sound, healthy mind. Rejoice that He is making a way where there seems to be no way! As you focus on the gift of every day and rejoice in what God has done in your life, you will begin to experience His increase and blessings. You'll rise up higher and set the course to live in victory all the days of your life!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, today I choose to rejoice in You. Thank You for this day and for every opportunity that You've given me to bless and praise You. I give You everything I am today and always. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Speaking of numbers...
5 continents
7 organizations
15 countries
18 states
67 churches
250 nuns
And these are just the ones that have been listed in the comments and blog entires.
People from all over the globe are praying for Connor and family! I'm humbled and awed by how God is using technology to mobilize his saints to pray, pray, pray.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for answering our prayers and allowing us to see your mighty hand at work. That we can come before you and petition on behalf of an injured brother, and then watch you move among your people, and then witness the miracles on a daily basis, is a privilege and a wonder. Thank you that you've allowed us access to your throne through Jesus Christ our Lord, that we may approach you boldly and ask, "Abba, Father, please heal Connor. Please protect him from further injury. Encourage Eric, Cherie and Joelle so they know that they don't walk alone on this journey; we walk with them, and Jesus leads the way. May you be honored and glorified throughout this ordeal, and forever in each of our lives. Amen."
Hallelujah! Thine the glory; Hallelujah, Amen
The smiles say it all, Praise the Lord.
This ordeal for Conner sure helps keep my puny foot problems in perspective. Eric and brothers, thanks for the updates. Seriously, Eric, you need to consider writing someday.
God bless!!!!

If I ever doubted there was a divine reason for this happening, those doubts are gone. GOD IS GOOD... and as the bumper sticker says, "Pray hard, life is short". we love you Williamson family and you are constantly on our hearts.

Here is a little thought that helped me imagine all the 12,000 people who visit this blog. Imagine the sports arena for the Golden State Warriors nba team. I would've gone with the Lakers, but anyway... Their seating capacity is about 19,000. So imagine this: Let's just say for 5 days in a row…
People are seated with their laptops in every seat of the left half of the Warrior’s gym & also in every seat of two high school gyms. All these people are gathered, reading your blogs, and praying together to one God, to the true sovereign God, who--in the abundance of His grace and kindness--hears them.
Amazing.
The Creator would give ear to our prayers? He would call us His people? THAT is awesome.
Well, goodnight from southern CA. It’s a real blessing to me to be seated with ya’ll.
... Even for those who have yet to encounter Him...
When God is on the scene, all can "see" Him working. Our Father's love story with your family (via Conner's chapters)... IS touching lives EVERYWHERE! Tonight I was able to read some of the blogs with my extended family simply because they asked "how is Conner doing?". I jumped on the computer and said, "well let's see..." Funny, how God works. For years I've shared our families God stories with my extended family, but reading/listening to someone who isn't the "crazy Christian relative" moved my unsaved family members. God is at work!
Psalm 62:8 (NIV)
Trust in Him at all time, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge. Selah
